A little bit of history:

On the ground floor, you will be dazzled by the huge living room with its old vaulted chapel, its seven-meter high ceiling, a central fireplace, and an old 18th century well, all of which testify to an extraordinary past. The living room offers direct access to a magnificent open-air interior courtyard featuring two authentic limekilns from the days of the monastery. This peaceful courtyard patio is the perfect place to take your breakfast.

During the 18th century, Le Mas des Alizés was a monastery where monks produced lime in the two large chimneys of the central courtyard of the house. This lime was used to bind stones in the construction of local houses in the village. After the dissolution of the monastery, the property served as the region's post office during the time of Napoleon Bonaparte.
In 1985, it was bought by David Carradine, the famous American actor of the "Kung Fu" series of the 70s and who played the role of Bill from the famous Quentin Tarantino film "Kill Bill”. He sold the property a few years later and there have been several successive owners. In the early 2000s, the Monastery became a guesthouse.

The current owners, Corinne and Pascal, have completely renovated the guesthouse in 2020 with meticulous detail while preserving and accentuating its original assets. The name Le Mas des Alizés was selected in recognition of the magnificent Iris Alizés, which bloom on the property in abundance every spring.towel warmer and suspended sink and toilet.
