I loved this little cottage! I stayed by myself, but it would be totally comfortable for a couple, too. It's a very special spot, very cosy and charming, with all kinds of interesting little touches that Tim has added. It's in a great spot, with the river just a couple blocks away. The bedroom is tucked away in the loft, and I slept so well. It somehow feels like a magical cottage in the forest, and I know I'll be coming back again.

One of the truly special places in Nevada. Haven’t been that relaxed in years.

Tim's place is a creative wonder. The many paths and little resting spots in the garden are topped only by the many interesting little collections of family antiques inside the house. We stayed four days and literally never stopped saying to each other, "Ooh, look at this!" the entire time. We were excited for the tiny house experience and enjoyed it a lot. There is actually enough room for everything necessary in that little space! Everything was super clean--not a trace of dust on any of the antiques. And probably best of all was Tim himself--super nice, going out of his way to make our stay wonderful. We asked if we might take an apple from tree and he was immediately up there getting down a whole bagful for us. When we asked if we could get a match to have a fire that night in the firepit, he immediately laid the whole fire, and came back later to help us get it going safely. And I LOVE that he welcomed our dog as warmly as he welcomed us. Thanks a million, Tim!

Tim was a great host, very welcoming & kind and willing to accommodate any needs you may have. Be sure to read the description and look at all the pictures... it's all very thorough and nothing is left out... you'll be staying in a "tiny" house/cabin/cottage. I give this cozy quaint little place two thumbs up, along with the host. It's historic and should be in regular travel publications/magazines, etc. Try it, you'll like it. I promise. I loved it!

The cottage is definitely cute and cozy. Close to river access, downtown Reno nightlife, and yet feels like you're somewhere far away. My boyfriend, dogs, and I stayed for two nights during the Rib Cook-off weekend at the Nugget in Sparks, NV. The place was very affordable in comparison to the going rate for hotels that weekend. We loved that we could bring our dogs too. However, wifi service was practically nonexistent and communication with the landlord was difficult as our trip approached. I don't mind small rooms, but this place is exceptionally small. I agree with a previous review that there was too much of the owner's stuff/ decorations inside the cottage and not enough space for my things. There is a historical theme that runs throughout the place, which is great, but is very overwhelming. (Decorations on every wall, surface, and even windowsill) Wish the larger bed was downstairs as well. After a long day out and about climbing up a ladder to the very short ceiling loft was not inviting and so we ended up sleeping on the twin sized bed downstairs. Overall a good deal, but my tall my boyfriend and I will probably spend a little more money next time and get a place with more room.

As Abraham Lincoln once famously said, "You can please some of the people, some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time"...or maybe I said that?! Checkout the rest of the 5 star reviews who appreciate good taste.....Timothy
