This house is located in the best street in what is arguably Sydney's hippest suburb. This room is available while I'm in the UK. You'd share the house with 3 quiet housemates. While the house isn't luxurious, it is clean and well-kept.
Ideally located just 10 minutes walk from Sydney's Central train and bus station, our heritage-listed Victorian terrace is just a few stops away from Town Hall (the centre of the city). We're nestled on a quiet tree-lined street in hip Chippendale which borders Surry Hills, Glebe, Newtown and Redfern, home to some of the best shops and restaurants in Sydney. We’re also a very short walk from the University of Sydney, UTS, and University of Notre Dame.
Our house is over two levels with a shared bathroom, shared living space and two toilets. I can accommodate up to 2 guests in 1 private bedroom.
The room has a:
•Built in wardrobes
•Desk and chair
•High speed wireless internet
Disponible para huéspedes
We are happy for guests to use the kitchen to cook their own meals.
Please note that as we live in an inner city area, parking is extremely limited. There are one-hour parking spots in our street only.
Feel free to use our computer or wireless internet access and wash your clothes in our washing machine. Bedding and towels are provided and are changed weekly (and of course at the start of each visit!). The house is non-smoking but we are happy for guests to smoke in the courtyard.
Directions from the airport: We suggest a cab as the easiest and quickest way to get to Chippendale if you have a lot of luggage ($25-$35 depending on the time of day). The airport train link is $16-$17 one-way per person and takes approximately 10 minutes to Central Station. Our house is an 10 minute walk from Central station.
Atención a los huéspedes
You will be sharing the house with 3 housemates: Nori, a doctor working at Sydney University; Tim, a literary buff who works at a law firm; and Emma from Sweden.
When enquiring about availability please ensure you have a profile photo (showing your face) and some information about yourself and the purpose of your stay to avoid your booking request being rejected (as Airbnb is based on trust we'd like to know a little bit about you if we're going to be sharing a house together!)
Only clean, respectful and quiet people need apply.
I'm an Aussie (from Chippendale in Sydney) and a Lecturer in Social Entrepreneurship at the University of Sydney. I'm neat, tidy and respectful of others' needs and privacy. I plan to use airbnb when attending academic conferences or when exploring new parts of the world. I love to travel, read widely, practice yoga and experience new things. Before embarking on an academic career I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge in the UK and worked as a Strategy Consultant in Sydney. I'm also a property owner and so will always treat others' homes as if they were my own, that is, with upmost care.
