This delightful converted barn offers comfort and tranquillity in the small village of Frolois, in the heart of the Côte d’Or countryside making it a perfect base for discovering Burgundy.

The Little Barn is a light, bright property over two levels, which has been renovated and furnished to the owner’s high standards with plenty of personal and homely touches.
Outside there is wooden decking terrace with dining for 6 and a barbecue as well as a lower garden terrace with sun loungers from where you can enjoy the views of the village below and the peace and quiet of village life, interrupted only by the occasional car or tractor passing the house.
The friendly owners live discretely in the house next door and are nearly always available to assist in providing information on all the local attractions and arrange private wine tastings nearby. They can also arrange extra services such as a shopping service to make your arrival pain free, fresh bread and pastry delivery as well as home-cooked meals and bespoke menus (please enquire regarding details and prices for additional services).

The Little Barn is a perfect base for exploring the region: this beautiful part of Burgundy has several historical sites, stunning landscapes, lively local markets and of course, wine tasting opportunities all just a short drive away.

Ubicación

Frolois, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Francia

There is much to see and do in this part of France. Within a 15-minute drive are the beautiful Flavigny-sur-Ouzerain, the Roman ruins at Alesia and its new visitor centre.
The Château of Bussy Rabutin, the source of the Seine river, great for picnics, and Venarey les Laumes for your everyday needs are all close by.
Within a 30-minute drive are Semur en Auxois, Montbard with its fabulous swimming pool complex, The Parc d'Auxois (zoo and adventure park) and the 13th Century world famous Abbaye de Fontenay.
Further a-field are historic Dijon, Beaune and Nigloland (theme park). Nearly every day of the week there are local markets, and no visit to Burgundy would be complete without a wine tasting.

Our love affair with villa holidays first began in 2003 when Co-Founders Oliver and Ravi spent a week at a crumbling chateau in the Dordogne with a group of their closest friends. As fate would have it, that holiday was the start of something special. It was the beginning of Oliver’s Travels. Today, we have over 6,000 hand-picked villas, chateaux and holiday homes across the top holiday destinations – with new regions launching every year. Before deciding on the where, it’s important to consider what you want from your villa holiday. Is it to relax around the pool, dining al-fresco with a spot of sightseeing? Or you are looking for an action-packed trip? Whatever you decide, it’s a good idea to put your requirements at the forefront when discussing with our travel experts who are the best in the business and we have countless awards to match. Trust us, we'll find you the perfect villa holiday to surpass your expectations. And the best part? Once you book a villa holiday, the service doesn't stop there. Our Free Concierge Service means you'll be in good hands to arrange catering & fridge stocking, housekeeping, childcare, tours & activities and so much more, to make your stay truly extraordinary.
