Beautiful views, lovely woods to stroll, and a comfortable farmhouse make this a relaxing and convenient place to stay when visiting the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Ithaca and Cornell university are just 20 minutes away.

Nice farmhouse, plenty of open country. Host is easygoing and helpful. Even though it's removed from the city, it's not hard to find off the highway. Easy to reach Ithaca/Cornell from the farmhouse.

Jan is a great host. A room where we stayed and a bathroom we used were beautiful and unique. The house is indeed close to Ithaca, but located in a scenic countryside where during the night it's absolutely dark and silent. As other guests have mentioned, the bed was very comfortable. Jan made us breakfasts and was very friendly and accommodating.

Jan was very welcoming. He introduced us to a beautiful scenery, which included the history behind the property he owned. The beds were very comfortable and it was incredibly peaceful. However, the water had a sulfuric odor to it, but was the only issue I found the entire stay. Jan made us breakfast and was very, very attentive.

This rustic farmhouse sits away from the road with a beautiful view out of almost every window. The room was clean, and the bed was fantastic. The host was gracious with his time, and house, and even made us breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at this picturesque farmhouse. The location is about a 20 min drive north of ithaca, in the quiet countryside, making for an amazing starry night. The home decor and our room were spartan but pleasant. Just to note, the tapwater in the bathroom is suplhuric smelling. Jan gave us a little tour of his land and we enjoyed a walk through the woods on the property. He sent us home with freshly picked asparagus and overall is very friendly and accomodating. We would stay here again.

This was our first airbnb experience and we were very happy to find Jan had an opening on graduation weekend! Jan was gracious and accommodating; our arrival was late in the evening after a long day of travel. Jan warmly welcomed us and provided breakfast items each day. The farm is lovely and was an easy 20 minute ride to Cornell. Wish we had more time to explore the area, but loved waking up each morning to the birdsong and crisp, clear air. The room was spacious, we had full access to the shared bathroom whenever we needed it, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on!

I'm a retired firefighter from Syracuse, NY, now living on a small (35 acres) farm just north of Ithaca and Cornell University.
I've had the good fortune to travel extensively and have often written about that for newspapers and magazines.
My home is a charming and comfortable farmhouse built in 1870. 25 acres of the property are mixed hardwoods with more than a mile of easily-walkable trail laced through it. The view from here (I'm at the crest of a ridge), to the far valley wall across Cayuga Lake, is splendid.
