This home is set atop a hill and has a beautiful view. The grounds were green and the location is private. The home is older and has older plumbing- none of the toilets worked properly. The house was clean, but felt "lived-in". For me this was a plus as it made my stay more comfortable. The master bedroom is large and has an entire wall of floor to floor windows, however, it doesn't have a door. Again, for me this was not a problem. The main living area is very open and would be great for family time. Joe was great with communication and allowed me to rent the property with less than 3 hours notice. I would stay here again! It's a great place as long as you're aware of and comfortable with the plumbing quirks.

Respuesta de Joe:
The plumbing quirks were because the water had been turned off the day before while replacing the water softener, i hadn't had a chance to turn it back on before the guest arrived (as i was in park city for work). the toilets work fine when the water is turned on;) one needs a handle jiggle from time to time, but no plumbing problems at all. There is a door available for the bedroom, and can be installed upon request :) the guest was great and her dogs were happy to have the space i think. the home is older, but up to date.

Rented the house for my family of 5, while at a BYU camp. Joe was friendly, but at the same time had the attitude of "it is what it is". When we arrived, Joe left the front door open, and later found out that this was on purpose, as the front door doesn't lock or doesn't have a key. When we brought it up to Joe, he said to just leave a window or back door open when we leave for the day, and our stuff should be safe. There were no smoke detectors in any of the bedrooms. When I brought it up, he said there should be one in the living room on top of the shelves and downstairs with the water heater. After further investigation, the one downstairs had no batteries and seemed to be broken. Was not happy having my family and kids sleep in rooms without these sensors. Downstairs the carpet is not fully nailed down and kind of patch work. I think he had a flood or something. The master bedroom has floor to ceiling windows, as the picture shows, but the blinds are broken, so very little privacy. I brought it up, and he said the trees should make enough privacy. Also, there's no to very few shades or curtains throughout the rest of the house, so all the windows are open all of the time. There's random holes in the walls and a lot of stains on the carpets throughout. The house has a musty, old smell. He said it was the AC, but I think the house needs some love. New carpets and paint will go a long way in this home. Just more pride. I also literally walked through two cobwebs in the house, and every day we killed spiders in the bathrooms and other rooms. He said he would have it sprayed again after we left. The jacuzzi was was nice, warm. The cover going on and off you think you're going to break it, or maybe it's already broken, but using the jacuzzi was nice. We used the Internet daily, he has (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Fiber, as well as TV. The AC works, but the Nest or Joe kept changing the temp to 84 or high temperatures, we had to keep turning it down to 76. We didn't use the AC that much, but is nice to have. A nice breeze comes through the windows and sliding doors. The house is distant from the neighbors, which is nice. Also, yes a lot of parking. One master bedroom upstairs and two smaller rooms down stairs. One of the rooms is basically his storage room with a bed, as you can see in the pics. I didn't have high expectations going into this. But for what we paid, I at least expected smoke detectors in the bedrooms, more of the shades, drapes to work, and slightly better smell, and to not walk into cobwebs, oh and the front door to lock.

Joe was a great host. He answered questions quickly, he left us a delicious little cake to enjoy, the hot tub was warm, there was propane in the grill. He did great. The house was a bit different than the internet makes it seem. It's a private residence which I didn't realize from the listing (I thought it was a vacant vacation rental) and the home is quiet old. There's no door on the main level bedroom (right off the living room) and it has some cosmetic flaws like stained carpet, blinds that don't close, and very dated bathrooms. Once you get past the "quirks" of the older home you'll enjoy the space. It's a blast from the past with a killer view. The living area is perfect for gathering and mingling, the hot tub was wonderful, and the yard is nice and private. We enjoyed our stay.
