Glasgow House is just over a kilometre from picturesque Mary Street and a short drive to many local features. 40 minutes away is the sleepy coastal hamlet of Tin Can Bay and a little further from that are the surf beaches of Rainbow Beach and access to Fraser Island .
Also 40 minutes away is the Sunshine Coast and all of it's beaches and facilities.
Fishing, surfing, bush-walking and four wheel driving opportunities abound.
The Glasgow House area is a part of Gympie's mining history - the Lounge Bar of the Phoenix Hotel, just across the road, has an excellent photographic display of that history. Or, perhaps you would like to indulge yourself at Your Serenity Beauty, also just across the road.

Hi, my husband, Chris, and I have eight children who are all adults now. We also have eight grandchildren and counting. Glasgow House was built in 1894. The Glasgow family of twelve children, lived and owned this home for ninety years. It was then owned by a solicitor who turned it into offices for several years until the Wildman family bought it in 1990. The Wildman’s raised four children and renovated this stunning home to what it is today. Chris and I fell in love with this beautiful home while renting it for a year in 2014, after which we had the opportunity to make it ours. There is a lot of wonderful history about the Glasgow family. The boys of the family slept on the wide verandahs until they left home while three daughter lived in the home as spinsters all their lives.
