Bayfields is now serving breakfasts again!
We have all our permits, the hens are happily laying their eggs, the kitchen is open!
Our overnight guests have 2 options:

Option #1 Self Serve
Act like you live here! Get out of bed whenever you want, fix your own breakfast however you want, bring whatever food you want, or use our fresh eggs, toast, fruit, cereal, coffee or tea. Clean up when you’re done.

Option #2 We Serve You
(8am to 9am)
Be our guest and be waited on! Choose your view. In colder months we’ll serve your breakfast in the dining room at the formal table or at the bay window. During the warmer months, dine at a table on the screened in porch, or make it a picnic outside by the riverbank. Coffee or tea is available all day long - self serve - using our coffee maker, tea kettle, or k-cups. As you sip your morning beverage, I’ll bring you a bowl of fresh fruit and take your order for breakfast. I then cook to order farm fresh eggs (your choice of blue, brown, or duck eggs, if you dare) breakfast sides (meat or vegan), and toast or muffins (regular or gluten free), serving one plate at a time.
Check in is at 2pm. Check out is 12pm the following day. During major holiday weekends (New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas) we won’t charge higher holiday prices, but there will be a THREE night minimum on those weekends.

Room for 2 with private bathroom and TV!
The Robin's Nest is the master bedroom with it's own private bathroom with shower and 6 large windows. Rest on a comfy queen bed, a combination memory foam/spring mattress.

Stay in a 3 story 1921 estate with a beautiful view from every window. Look straight out at the Chesapeake Bay from your bedroom window!

Enjoy early morning sunrises from our large bay windows, have breakfast in the formal dining room, screened porch, or dine in the glass atrium.

In winter, warm yourself by the living room or diningroom woodstove, or sit by one of our 19 toasty radiators.

Robin's Nest (sleeps 2)
Queen sized bed, private bath, working fireplace, sitting area, 3 views from windows facing west towards the barnyard, south towards the pool, and east towards the West River and Chesapeake Bay.

While I do best on raw fruits, and veggies, Kurt is more of an omnivore. We both thrive on fresh air and outdoor activities. We love sailing, skiing, horses, bike rides, and romping with the dog. We love book collections, old cars, and antique furniture. We drive the coastline of the Chesapeake Bay in a convertible selling Maryland and Virginia Cruising Guides. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories. Kurt enjoys fixing things and keeping our lawn looking at its best.

Durante tu estancia
This is my full time home and I live on site, but you won't see me too much as I often have a busy schedule. I'll usually give a house tour, show you around a bit, tell you a little family history about the place, and then you're on your own unless you call on me with questions or requests. I'm always up for a green smoothie. We have guests who will join us in a card game or share a glass of wine in the evening. Any time of year, with pre-planning, you may request an excursion around the quiet secluded neighborhood by horse and cart.
