Disponible para huéspedes

Guests have access to the entire fully furnished house. The house and garden are very private. Transport to town may be provided by Gusti if he is available. He can also help guests to rent a motorbike or car. There Is parking on the premises.

Atención a los huéspedes

When I am not working I will be happy to meet with guests. Guests are always welcome in our compound next door. My wife Ayu will be cleaning the house daily. Laundry is available in the village. I can also help guests to rent a motorbike or car, and I can recommend the best customized trips around Bali.

Otros aspectos destacables

The villa is new, just finished and the first guests arrived in mid-December 2014.

Breakfast for two people is included in the room price. The family may also cook other meals for guests with prior notice at an extra charge.

Also, if you are not familiar with Bali, you should note one of the main reasons people come to Bali is the beautiful nature, the rice fields, the volcano, and the picturesque villages. Nature here is quite intense, and sometimes city dwellers are not used to the ubiquitous lizards ( they are harmless and eat the mosquitoes). Also the sounds of frogs, chickens and dogs are common in village life.

Insect repellent is provided in Rumah Antik, but you may want to bring your own, and be sure to use it. Mosquito born diseases such as dengue do occur and should be protected against.

We've stayed at the Gusti villa for 10 days and we enjoy everyday. Ayu cooks delicious breakfast, rich of Indonesia's fruits. One of strongest point of the place for me is the site, the villa is surrounded by nature, I love the bathroom! Staying in this place you get this feeling of relax and peaceful, all of this with complete privacy. If you like nature this is the right place for you! You can find local shops and restaurants with few minutes walk, but if you need to go to Ubud center then you need a motorbike. If is not booked you can have a early check-in or late check out without extra charge which is really nice if your fly is in the early morning or late evening, so you don't have to stay around with the backpacker waiting. Most of the hotel and hostel don't do that. At the end, I really raccomend this place. Thank you Gusti and Ayu. Steven and Francesca

Gusti's Rumah antik was an amazing place to stay. Located in the nearby village of ubud with wonderful scenery of the paddy fields. Gusti was very wonderful in helping us out for everything we needed and Ayu's every morning wonderful breakfast was also amazing. The villa is as seen in the pictures very beautiful, calm and serene. Will definitely recommend this villa to anyone who wants to stay at peace away from the ubud crowd. Thank you Gusti and Ayu for having us next time in ubud we are definitely coming back to stay in the villa :)

Staying at this place is an unforgettable experience. You will get an opportunity to see the life of a Balinese village and its inhabitants that is completely different from what you'd normally be exposed to if only staying in the touristy places like Kuta. While you will need a "transport " to get to/from Ubud, I'd recommend you take a walk to Ubud once or twice (start early and plan hours if you

Our favorite part about our stay at Gusti's Guesthouse: generous portions of fresh fruit every morning, having such a large space to relax in, and coming home every evening after dinner to see that Ayu had made up the bed and left a lamp on for us. Both Gusti and his wife, Ayu, were nothing but welcoming hosts.

We stayed at Gusti's villa for 4 days -- the place looked just like the pictures and in day light reality its beautiful! Gusti is a warm host, ever ready to help -- We had requested for a airport pickup which he gladly obliged even though the flight was very late (midnight). His wife Ayu came in and made breakfast every morning -- they were very flexible with the time - limited choice but good breakfast to get started your day. Gusti also arranged for a motorbike (150cc -- you need it to drive up the hills) immediately with 2 helmets. One of the days it rained heavily and he also gave us a good poncho. The place is a 15 drive to the ubud center -- we loved driving through the paddy fields in the ups and downs. This villa is in a rustic village setting -- we get to hear the cocks crowing all thru the day and in the nights the dogs bark and howl -- we enjoyed and it added to the village experience -- if you are a light sleeper, you might want to take note of that. Gusti also gave us an extra fan and few electrical adaptors for charging our phones. One of the days, he took us around to see the rice terrace, the elephant safari and tirta ampul. He also had very good recommendations for food (try Bali Bunda) and places to visit ( the Kampto Lampowaterfall, the Kechak dance ) and helped coordinating the cultural classes (classical painting and batik) that we took at the muesum. All in all, very helpful and a great place for a calm and peaceful vacation! I highly recommend his villa!

Gusti and Ayu are well-deserving of their superhost status. Friendly, fast communication and a real attention to detail were hallmarks of their stellar service. They even welcomed us into their family compound and taught us a lot about Balinese culture. Ayu (Gusti's wife) was such a sweet, daily presence (while never being intrusive), coming by to cook us delicious breakfasts and cleaning the house daily while we were out. She even turned on the outside lights for us in the evenings so we didn't have to come home in the dark. The villa itself is so charming and spacious, with tall ceilings and a unique outdoor bathroom. The gardens are gorgeous and it really feels like a private home. Good wifi, a nice kitchen, and multiple areas for reading, working, eating and relaxing are available. This is not your standard cramped hotel room. Some downsides: The villa is 15 mins by scooter from Ubud. A chorus of animals can be heard just before sunrise. Roosters, dogs, geckos, pigs, ducks, insects... it took a few days to sleep through the ruckus, but once I acclimatized it was totally fine and I slept like a baby. This is probably true of most stays in Ubud, I wouldn't let it put you off staying here. Just bring ear plugs! I would definitely recommend this place. Gusti and Ayu are wonderful hosts, the villa is very lovely and it felt like a home away from home.

Dear Ubud visitors,

I am happy to offer you several rental properties, which I manage.

Here is my story. Born in 1974, I was one of the first employees of Roda Internet Cafe, the first of its kind in Bali. From that experience, and daily contact with tourists from all over the world I learned my English and a bit of other languages as well. I also became proficient at computers.

Eight years ago I began my present career as tour guide and driver and really enjoy getting to know guests from many countries and showing them my beautiful island.

Last year, I built a beautiful villa, from an old Javanese house, on my family land, where I live next door with my parents, sister, wife and 4 children.

Now we are managing two more villas on Jl. Sri Wedari in Tegal Lantang, Ubud. Please check all our listings to see which fits your needs best.

We can recommendations restaurants, massage and other health options, yoga, cooking classes, and whatever else you are interested in.

My friend Sue and I will do our best to make your stay unforgettable.
