Charming 200 year old antique home, comfortably furnished, wonderful views of Rockport harbor. Large sunny deck, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, in the heart of the harbor village, mins from both Camden and Rockland, best of the Maine coast. Please note: Steep antique stairway leading to bedrooms makes the house unsuitable for those with very young children or those who have difficulty climbing stairs.

El lugar

Antique property, 200 years old, with charm and the 'quaint' feel of an old Maine coastal house, nicely restored and decorated, with lots of sunlight. Please note, the house does require use of stairways, both to access main living levels (2nd and 3rd floor of house as seen from street) and to access upstairs bedrooms. Lower (street) level of house may be available as additional guest suite (bedroom with attached sitting room and private bathroom) for an additional charge (not rented separately).

Disponible para huéspedes

Across the street from the harbor park, a three minute stroll to excellent cafe, restaurant, the cozy town library is just up the street, several town parks within walking distance, great areas for hiking, jogging, biking, kayaking, 5 mins to downtown Camden, 10 minutes to downtown Rockland.

Atención a los huéspedes

Will meet and greet, happy to answer questions, but house is private and independent, owners live about 10 mins. away.

Otros aspectos destacables

The house is on a hillside and is accessed by a stairway from the street. The bedrooms are on the upper floor and accessed by an antique stairway which is quite steep. There is a carport which holds one car (two if parked very tight). There is no air conditioning in the house - seldom needed, but if it should get too warm there are fans which guests can use. The house does not accommodate pets, sorry

Great stay! House was very clean on our arrival. Host was very nice and helpful. Nice location between Camden and Rockland. Charming house full of books and interesting history I’m sure. Stairwell to second floor is definitely steep!

Old but charming place. Aside from mildew smell it was great.

Wow. We could not have been more pleased with our choice of places to stay for our New England getaway. Sea Rose Cottage is perfectly located in uncluttered Rockport, much more private and untraveled than its neighboring communities to the north and south. The home feels historical and has more charm and personality than we could have imagined. William and Meg had the place clean, well decorated and well furnished and provided great information when asked about local restaurants and such. A completely great experience from reservation to departure.

Everything about this place was fantastic. From coffee on the sunny patio to puzzles on the great dining table, we felt very cozy and comfortable. There was plenty of space for 4 adults (2 couples) and all the basic necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms. Location is ideal, calm but very close to lots of activities. Get great coffee from nearby Market Basket, paddle board rentals from Maine Outfitters, dining in Camden on the waterfront ... There was more to do than we had time for. Personal favorite: Owls Head Light House and swimming in Lake Megunticook after some rock climbing in Camden Hills. William is a very responsive host and has great recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities. Absolutely recommend!

The host was extremely gracious and spent quite a bit of time during check in showing us around the entire house and also sharing a lot of great information about the area, the sights we should not miss, best restaurants and shops etc.
