No smoking! Eat all the fruit you want. Please do not throw the seeds in the yard because they will grow. Please do not bother iguanas if you see one or the neighbors chickens they are both harmless. They do not bother anyone. During mango season you have a 90% chance of seeing an Iguana. There are only two houses you can see from the house. One is right behind and the other is in the front but sits way back. It is very quiet most of the time. Please respect the neighbors. We keep the doors open till we go to bed around midnight so you don't have to be silent, just don't have a party every night. Windows are open all the time. We lock the gate once we are in for the night.
Hi World! I am from St. Croix, US, Virgin Islands and currently live in San Antonio, TX. I am married with 9 grandchildren. We have two girls and we lost two sons. We love to travel and experience places the way locals do. I am former military and my husband is retired from the Army. I am a Navy brat, a Star Trek fan and work in the IT industry for a very large company. I work from home and can be anywhere at any time. I go between our house in San Antonio and Mango House, where I grew-up. My father was a Naval photographer and you will see some of his work in the hallway and other places in the house. Going through all his photo's are a full time job by it self. If by chance you recognize anything in his pictures I would love to hear about it.
My motto in life is "To build something wonderful, you have to start by doing it right."
When my father died my Mom inherited everything, she turned around and gave me the house. She thought it would be too much for me to handle with my demanding job and life. She thought I should sell it and we had so many interested people. I just could not bare to part with such a huge part of my life so instead we gutted the bathrooms, started refurnishing, redoing, cutting 10 tree's and so on. We have travelled to many places in the world but none of them compare to the raw beauty of this Island we call home.
