We stayed for 3 nights.
Although we never actually met Georges, the listing was exactly as advertised. There was a nice welcome letter with chocolates, which was a nice touch.
The building was very nice, with a 24 hour doorman and elevator. This made our late night arrival easy, as the keys were with the doorman.
This is not a fancy building, but quite fine and safe feeling. The apartment itself was good, with gleaming hardwood floors and old fashioned radiator heat. There was fresh towels and bedding provided, and the apartment was clean. The bathroom was just basic, but the shower had good water pressure and temperature. I would say the living/dining/kitchen area was a very nice area to relax and chat. The whole feel was very "homey".
I would recommend this apartment for anyone who needs a "home base" next to Columbia/Barnard or MSM. It is about 5 blocks to the 116th street subway station, but the neighborhood feels very safe.
