Absolutely amazing. Views, pool and breeze made for an impeccable experience. Completely in love with the mountain trip to and from the home, and the sunsets are insanely beautifully every night. We stayed for 6 days and only 2 had hard core rain showers starting at 3-5pm (its rainy season so was to be expected). Every other day we were able to stay out past 6 pm without worry about the creek filling up and being impassable on the way back up the mountain. Absolutely zero complaints. Abbbbbsolutely amazing.

The home was easy to find and when we arrived the caretakers met us at the house. The house was clean. It is a little rustic but we absolutely loved it! The outside living area and the pool with a million dollar view make this house the perfect choice. We saw toucans and monkeys right by the pool. Went to sleep listening to the sounds of the forest. Just what we came here for!

The pool and outside area of the house are amazing!! Great views!!! The house is a bit rustic, with only screens and shutters on the windows, allowing the sounds of the jungle to sooth you to sleep. Jim was very responsive and the caretaker, Frankie, was very helpful! Had some fresh fruit, crackers and coffee there for us on arrival.

We had an amazing time at Jim's Dominicalito Ocean View home! Jim responded to our request right away and was very attentive throughout. We had some issues last minute getting directions due to my lack of internet service but he made sure we had all the info one way or another. The care takers were very friendly and were working really hard when we arrived preparing the house since the people before stayed until check out (I don't blame them!) and we arrived a little early. The house was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. Although we didn't spend much time inside because the outside of this property is absolutely amazing! The pool was one of the cleanest I have ever seen and the BBQ area as well. And the view...I can't say enough about how unbelievably amazing it was. There was a lot of wildlife around and you feel like you are in a treehouse almost since you are at the top of the hill in the canopy. We woke up one morning to Howler Monkeys which we welcomed! I can't say enough about this place. If you are undecided...just book it! You will be so happy you did! And even though it's a bit of a drive off the beaten path (something I love anyway) it is actually a short drive into Dominical. This house and the town was by far our favorite of our whole trip and we traveled around Costa Rica quite a bit. Thank you Jim for sharing your little piece of heaven on earth! We hope to be back sooner than later!

We stayed for 9 nights at Jim's place, in January. This is the kind of Airbnb listing that really does have to be seen to be believed. This place is amazing and was exactly what we needed. I'll start with the tricky stuff first. Access is via a dirt road up the hill. It does involve crossing a creek. We had no problems at all, it didn't rain once whilst we were there so water level was no problem. You do need a 4x4 with decent clearance. The road is at times steep and quite narrow. I have driven all over the world and i didn't find it a problem (but i was glad i had a 4x4). My girlfriend who is more of a cautious driver was not so keen on it, but hey you don't get those views without a little hard work! The road, ultimately, is like most of the other roads in Costa Rica. Unless you are planning on taking all your supplies for your stay with you, you do need a vehicle to stay here. It is a drive to the nearest supermarkets and amenities. Inside, there are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a bunk bed. The rooms are basic, but comfortable, with a nice selection of books to read whilst you are there. The kitchen is big, with a large dining area. It is well equipped and we made some nice meals during our stay. So, now thats out of the way, lets get on to the important stuff, the outside. It starts when you open the shutters in the kitchen and you see the view which takes your breath away. The Pacific in all its beauty. All the windows have bug screens on, so you can enjoy the views without letting any critters in. Outside the kitchen, is a nice patio area, with a hammock and a nice outdoor dining area. There is a beautiful day bed to relax in (usefully it has a mosquito net around it). There is also a screen you can pull across the whole area for shade if the sun just gets too much. There is a path that leads down the landscaped garden to the pool, which is just beautiful. To the side of the pool is a covered area with a table and chairs, small sofa and hammock. There are also cooking facilities down there which was nice. It was so relaxing to lay in the hammock, looking at the ocean, or you could spin round and watch toucans flying above the forest canopy. Bliss. The pool was fantastic, really clean. The infinity edge leading your eye to the views, looking down at Dominicalito Cove and the Ocean that stretches out to infinity. It was really a very special experience, bobbing about in the pool, watching the sun go down. I won't ever forget it. Jim was really good throughout the whole process. He gave us a run down of the...

We absolutely loved the setting and could have spent our entire vacation sitting on the palapa, sipping coffee and looking for birds in the tree canopy and enjoying the pristine view of the ocean. I hope we will are able to return someday.
