THE 'FRIENDLIEST' ISLAND: Little Cayman is best known for its diving, fishing, snorkeling, and internationally protected bird sanctuaries. Jacques Cousteau rated the Bloody Bay dive site on the north west end as his #3 best dive site in the world! It has also been rated as the friendliest place to visit by Forbes Magazine. Little Cayman Island lies 85 miles east of Grand Cayman, 450 miles south of Miami and 120 miles south of Cuba. The weather from December through May is consistent and reliable, averaging to 80 to 85 degrees with nice island breezes. The island is only 1 mile wide and 10 miles long and is remarkably undeveloped and under populated. There are only 150 full time residents.
LITTLE CAYMAN DIVING: There are four top notch dive operations with nice boats to choose from on Little Cayman. All are very good. If you want to shore dive you can arrange to rent tanks. Conch Club Divers is independent of any resort and enjoys good reviews. Pirate's Point, Southern Cross and Little Cayman Beach resort are the other dive operations associated with the resorts. Reservations and advanced booking is recommended for all diving.
1. World famous Bloody Bay Wall Marine Park with magnificent wall diving.

Fly fishing for bonefish, tarpon, and permit in the shallow waters and inland brackish lakes is also popular. There are charters available for blue water-deep sea fishing as well as guides for fly fishing. Call or email the owner for information and recommendations.

From Grand your only option is to take a 25 minute (90 mile) flight on Cayman Airways to Little Cayman which is $151.00 USD for a round trip ticket. We recommend that you book a 2 hour layover on Grand so you can be sure to make the Cayman Airways flight to Little Cayman if your flight to Grand is delayed.

Secluded, peaceful. We have spent days at our home and walking the beaches without seeing a single person. After dark, there is virtually no "light pollution" so stargazing is simply amazing!

2.NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited in the house. You may smoke outside on the patio.

4.FIRE EXTINGUISHER is located in the kitchen and is hanging on the side of the hutch.
5.PLEASE CONSERVE WATER AND ELECTRICITY: You are on an island---Fresh water is precious on Little Cayman and very expensive to have delivered if our cisterns run dry so please conserve. Please avoid unnecessarily long showers, unnecessary toilet flushing, running the tap etc. We want you to enjoy your stay, but please be mindful of conservation.
6.MINIMIZE LAUNDRY ROOM USE: The laundry facilities are available for guests staying with us for 7 days or longer and are for your reasonable use—Each load of laundry consumes approximately 40 gallons of water—Again, we ask that you please conserve water. If you wish, outdoor clothes lines are available on the west side of the house to dry wet laundry and towels. In fact, laundry usually dries faster in the sun and breeze outside as compared to the electric clothes dryer in the laundry room.
7.HOUSEKEEPING AND BATH AND BEACH TOWELS. There is no daily housekeeping service. Bath towels and hand towels are provided—extra bath towels may be found in the linen closet located in the western bathroom. Beach towels are located in the straw basket/chest outside the laundry room for your use outside. Please do not remove WHITE bath towels and hand towels wash clothes from the house. Please do not use WHITE bath towels as beach towels. Please do not use any more towels than are necessary. At the end of your stay, please place all used towels in the laundry room.
8.STORAGE OF FOOD AND GARBAGE. Trash collection occurs two times per week on weekdays—trash cans must be left at the street or will not be collected. Great care has been taken to keep these premises free of pests. Please to not use or store any food in any room except for the pantry, kitchen and dining area. Please take care to keep the kitchen and pantry clear of all unwrapped or unsealed food. Food storage bags and trash bags are provided for your reasonable use and convenience. Please do not waste supplies. Periodically remove all garbage to the street trash cans which should be at the street at all times.
9.AIR CONDITIONING. There are three (3) Carrier split unit ductless air conditioners in the house—one at each end of the living space and one in the master bedroom. Each has its own remote control located in a wall holder near each unit. To turn on the A/C, remove the remote from the wall holder and point it at the unit while pressing the power button---adjust temperature by pointing the remote at the unit. The remotes display the temperature setting in Celsius—we find setting the units between 24 or 26 Celsius provides the right balance so that we are not overwhelmed when coming in or out of the house on hot days. For sleeping comfort in all bedrooms other than the master bedroom, we recommend leaving the doors to the bedroom open so that the cool air can circulate into the room while you are sleeping. Note: All bedrooms have ceiling fans. Please close all doors to the bedrooms and laundry room when not in use as this will conserve the cool air where you want it and not waste energy.
10.BBQ GRILLS. There are two BBQ grills available for your use. One is an old Weber charcoal grill that requires bagged charcoal that can be purchased at the Village Square—it is missing one leg so we lean it up against the goofy stone lawn ornaments while in use. The other grill is a small propane fueled Weber that is located in the Rubbermaid chest on the east side of the house near the outdoor shower---this grill can be attached to the 30lb propane tank. Make sure that connections are tight and that the tank is shut completely off after every use. Please take care to keep the grills away from the house while in use to avoid accidents.
11.APPLIANCES. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
12.NO PETS ALLOWED. No pets ae allowed on the premises. You will be assessed $75.00 per day for each day of your stay for regardless of the time the pet might have been there.
13.SAND FLEES. Sand flees and “No see ums” are the same thing—The house is equipped with “No see um” screens---however sand flees are attracted to light and cool air—in other words some can get in the house even as a result of going in and out of the house when lights are on. Take care not to use more light than necessary for your comfort because the no see ums may annoy you if you let them in the house.
14.PROPERTY DAMAGE AND REASONABLE CARE. Keep the house and all furnishings in good order. By accepting this rental agreement, you agree to be responsible for and acknowledge our right to assess and charge you for damage to the property or furnishings, excessive dirt or other mess requiring excessive cleaning and other unusual costs incurred by the owners which are caused by you, your party members or any person you permit upon the premises during your stay. If the event that the premises appear dirty or damaged upon your arrival, contact us immediately.
