This is California living at its very best! The all white decor, open floor plan, and incredible outdoor space, offer the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the city. The home's location is ideal; situated in a quiet, upscale, residential enclave...walking distance to the beach, and a 5 minute drive to all that Santa Monica has to offer. We love hosting...and guests will feel our relaxed and welcoming attitude the minute they walk through the door.
You can use one or both of the bedrooms during your stay, whatever works best for you and your fellow travelers. Both of them are cozy and beautiful, with every luxury you could possible want including: crisp white linens, down duvets, and ample closet/drawer space.
The bathroom is yours alone and has a glass enclosed walk in shower, new towels, and all the amenities you would find at a high end hotel...right down to the terry cloth robes.
The main room: kitchen/dining/living is shared space. But we lead busy lives and always try to give guests their peace and privacy. I'm confident you'll get plenty of both!
Disponible para huéspedes
You will have full use of the downstairs of the house including: the kitchen/living area, your bedrooms/bath, and the outdoor fire-pit (everything pictured in this listing).
Atención a los huéspedes
Upon arrival, I will make sure you are familiarized with everything about the house. After that, if you don't see me around...just call my cell for any questions, suggestions, or advice...I'm usually quick to respond!
I live here with Brian, my fabulous boyfriend who loves cycling and soccer (Go Gunners); and Piper, my fantastic teenage daughter who loves her friends, fashion and music. Like mother like daughter!
Otros aspectos destacables
PLEASE make sure you enter the CORRECT NUMBER of guests into your airbnb reservation request...I charge by the person, not the room. Your head-count will affect the price of your stay.
We have two cats, and one of them is very social (more dog than cat). If you are allergic or simply don't like cats, I would suggest you find another spot.
This is our home, so we are careful about who stays. I've welcomed many "new to airbnb" guests, but would ask that you to have a complete profile (with Government Issued ID) before you send an inquiry or reservation request. Also, please take a moment to tell me about yourself/your travel companions, and the reason for your visit. It's just nicer to know something about each other in advance, don't you agree?
Relax and enjoy your time here...we genuinely love having you!
No friends/visitors to the house! NO exceptions! Only the registered guests are allowed.
This is not the place for "party people". My days of dancing on tables (yes, of course I've done that!)...are in the past.
It is clean, quiet and serene here...think spa, not sports bar...and behave accordingly. Please clean up after yourselves in the common spaces (kitchen, etc) and keep ALL personal items in your room (including shoes, computers).
Please do not use the fire-pit after 12 Midnight.
We have coyotes around here and the cats get locked in after dark. Please make every effort not to let them out in the evening.
If you damage or break something...just tell me...we will work it out.
If you display anything less than kindness and consideration to my daughter, our cat, or our wonderful neighbors...you'll be asked to leave immediately.
Park ONLY on the street.
Please do not take anything from the house (coffee cups, spoons, etc). Beach towels are fine, but small items can easily get lost in a rental car.
Be sure to lock up tight and turn off lights when you come and go.
I'm a Mom, Girlfriend, Ad Exec for New York Magazine, Interior Designer, and Airbnb Host.
I love relaxing at home with my family, traveling (especially when it involves great hotels!), and hitting a good yoga or spin class (I'm kinda lying about the last thing). I am easy-going, friendly, and have a good sense of humor (all survival traits developed in childhood...I'm the youngest of 8 kids!). I was born in Michigan, but raised in California. I was once left at a gas station on a family camping trip to the Grand Canyon. I love music of all kinds...and my iPod playlist has everything from Ryan (URL HIDDEN) The (URL HIDDEN) Eminem.
When I made the decision to start hosting (in 2014) I had no idea what to expect. I had no idea that the human rewards (aka friendships) would far outweigh any monetary rewards. So thank you Airbnb...I totally LOVE being a part of this awesome global community!
