Our private tiny house is equipped with a turntable and vinyl collection, an acoustic guitar and a uke for musical merry making. It features vaulted ceilings, a separate bedroom, large bathroom, skylight, open layout, your own washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen and a fun loving host family!! Come experience the best of N/NE Portland.

Guests will have access to their own laundry, two queen beds (one in the bedroom and another comfortable fold out in the living room),
fresh linens, ample storage space, a small backyard, a trampoline (if you sign a waiver ;-) and all the stuff listed above. Lots of street parking for those with a car.

We are a family of 5 committed to your privacy and helping you create an enjoyable stay in Portland. Feel free to ask us for recommendations, directions, or just about anything. We love meeting new people and are happy to be of service.

We are located in the Historic Humbolt neighborhood: (website hidden)

Tons of great local food, shopping, farmers' market and parks.

We are three houses from Peninsula Park, which is home to the original rose garden of Portland. It's really a special park with huge trees and grassy fields for sports and romping, public basketball and tennis courts, walking/running path around the park, big playground for kids (and the young at heart) and a great community center with a summer outdoor swimming pool.
It's the main reason we moved to this part of town:

Were a short walk to the Mississippi district:

Our home is located 5 blocks from the MAX Red Line stop, two blocks from the closest bus stop and 8 blocks from New Seasons (natural grocers). We are a short walk to the Mississippi district and a mile from the Alberta Arts area. We are a 15 minute drive to the airport and 5-10 minutes to downtown Portland. We have an I-5 freeway entrance 7 blocks from our house.

We have children ages 11, 9 and 6... there will occasionally be a bike/skateboard/scooter lying about.

Had a great time at the music cottage. Great space with functional kitchen and full bath with separate bedroom. The bus stop is very close so getting around was easy. The musical instruments were a great touch (played quite a lot of guitar). Washer and dryer worked well.

This is a great little place. Cozy and fully equipped for cooking, playing music, walking, and hanging out. The instruments and turntable were a nice touch and Robin was a pleasure to deal with, very communicative and clear. Highly recommend this cute little spot.

I loved the location of this cottage! We spent hours hanging out at Peninsula Park, and loved the places Robin suggested for coffee and breakfast. She was also really great about giving us our space, and asking if we needed anything.

Robin was very helpful and nice. She introduced herself to us and offered any help we needed. We loved our stay in Portland! Your place was the perfect size for us and we loved the washer and dryer. Also having the stove and other amenities was great. The location was nice too, an easy drive to downtown. If we go back to Portland I would love to stay at her place again!

The Kerby music cottage was homey and in a good location. Loved that it has a washer and dryer so we could wash our dirty hiking clothes. It was a great first experience our Portland!

The Kirby Music College is exactly as it appears. The unit was clean, fresh and best of all, Robin had fresh coffee and half and half in the refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and the linens clean. There was also a washer and dryer, as well as plenty of kitchen utensils ( but with such great food around, who cares!) Everyplace Robin suggested was wonderful. There is not a TV, which at first was a little unexpected, but this turned out to be great. The turntable and wide selection of vinyl was really fun and my husband and I have barely turned on the boob tube since we got home. The location was great for us. Plenty of restaurants and a beautiful rose garden at the end of the block and just two miles from Concordia University where we left our youngest. Thank you Robin for your hospitality.

I am originally a Kentucky girl, drawn to the wild green forests and creative energy of the pacific northwest, and now happily settled in Portland with my family. I am the mama of three beautiful and creative children, ages 11, 9, and 6, with whom I spend my time exploring, playing, and constantly learning. I love hostessing, singing and dancing, connecting with and being of service to people, and playing with my kids and husband, who tours the country with his band The Motet.
