I love the history of this c1725 home and the thought of who use to live here. In the early 1900's this home was floated over from Billings Gate Island which is 3 miles off Campground Beach on the bay side.
Just bring the food and enjoy yourself.

During the Summer the home is only rented by the week from Saturday to Saturday but in the offseason of Spring, Fall and Winter you can definitely make reservations for shorter stays for as little as 1 - 2 nights during the late Fall and Winter months.

El lugar

The home sits on a 1 acre lot that has plenty of room for the kids to play, ride their bikes or have whiffle ball games. There are plenty of places to park either on the side of the house where the circular drive is located or off to the far end of the property away from the play areas. The property and neighborhood are very pet friendly.
Large first-floor front to back Master Bedroom with king-sized poster bed and a working fireplace.

Living room is equipped with 1 comfortable couch and 2 rocking chairs, cable TV, wireless Internet, DVD/VCR player. eat-in kitchen that seats 6 -8 comfortably and a full bath.

Second-floor has 3 bedrooms: A Master bedroom with Queen-sized bed. A large bedroom with three twin beds with a ½ bath in-between these two bedrooms. The 3rd bedroom is a smaller private room with a twin bed. Each bedroom is supplied with a fan. Outdoor shower with attached changing room, patio and grill. The property and the area are very pet friendly too.

Guests will have access to the property surrounding the antique colonial home that you will be staying in. The turn around oval driveway is shared with another small cottage for access to the home and cottage. The driveway for the small cottage needs to be kept clear.
There are 2 hammocks on the property that are available for use for the 4 bed room antique colonial house.

I think one of the most unique benefits is the ability to see a sunrise on one of our beautiful National Seashore Beaches in the morning and then at night only 3-1/2 miles away you can enjoy our beautiful sunsets on Cape Cod Bay which are uniquely different every night.
We also have one of the only 3 Drive In Movie Theaters left in the State of Massachusetts 2 miles from the house in Wellfleet called 'The Wellfleet Drive-In'.
There are so many convenient accommodations for such a small and rural town. I grew up in Boston and there are as many everyday conveniences in Eastham as there was in my neighborhood in Boston. Conveniences like stores, food shopping, clothes shopping, great restaurants, Dunkin Donuts as well as home made donuts and coffee, plenty of antique shops, churches, hardware and supplies local dentist and local barbara shop etc.
There is also the Cape Cod Rail Trail which is a 22-mile (35 km), very safe, paved rail trail located about a 1/2 mile to the property just off Rte 6. The trail route passes through the towns of Dennis, Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, and Wellfleet. It connects to the 6-plus mile Old Colony Rail Trail leading to Chatham, and 8 miles of trails within Nickerson State Park. It also passes near the end of the Nauset Bike Trail leading to Coast Guard Beach in the Cape Cod National Seashore.
The Cape Cod Baseball league is one of the premier amateur baseball leagues in the country and is played all over the Cape all summer. It attracts the best college talent from around the country and most of them have to be invited. Many players in MLB have played in the Cape Cod Baseball League and it's where you can see future stars play before they make it to the big league.

The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority has many buses and routes that take you all over the Cape.
Taxi Cab service is also available.

This property has a peaceful feel to it and the Outer Cape area is just beautiful. Time slows down a bit on the Outer cape. As soon as you come over the bridge onto Cape Cod your worries will start to melt away. Those are not my words but they are the words of many family and friends that come to visit.

I love the history and the thought of who use to live there. This home use to be on Billings Gate Island which is 3 miles off the shores of Campground Beach on the bay side. The island can still be seen at low tide and it is still visited. Around 1910 this fishing island community finally gave way to mother nature and erosion. They finally floated this house and a few of the other 35 houses across the bay to Eastham and some also went to Wellfleet in an effort to save them.

During the summer the home is only rented by the week but in the offseason of spring, fall and winter you can certainly make reservations for shorter stays.

Your satisfaction is part of my reward for my effort that I put into every guest that stays here at my home and I take a personal interest in making sure that happens.
It is my sincere intention that everyone that is a guest at my home enjoy themselves.
The owner has a small 1 bedroom cottage located at the rear of the property behind the main house so there is always a good chance he'll be nearby if you ever need anything.

If you are NOT receiving a Rental Agreement some of the important rules to follow pertain to Pets, Smoking, Early Check-Ins and Check-Out policy.
The owner loves dogs and has a very playful dog of his own but there are basic rules that must be followed.

The following is a brief description:
1) Pets are not allowed up on the furniture or beds.
2) Pets are not allowed in the house by themselves without being crated or at least gated in the kitchen.
3) Please pick up after your pets when they go the bathroom outside. A container is provided by the trash barrels to put your bags of dog poop in.
4) Smoking is absolutely Not Allowed inside the house.
5) Early check-ins are not possible during the summer season, which also includes dropping off bikes, kayaks or parking your car at the property to go to the beach.
6) Check-in is 4pm during the summer but in the off-season if you contact me a day or 2 before your arrival I can let you know if it is possible for you to arrive earlier than the normal check-in time.
7) Checking out on time is crucial, especially during the summer months or if someone is booked after your stay in order to clean and prepare the house for incoming guests.
8) The house should be left "broom swept"; You Do Not have to strip the beds but dirty linens should be put in laundry; dishes cleaned properly; any furniture, lamps, chairs etc should be put back in the same spot where they were when you arrived; trash properly bagged and put in the barrels outside and recycles in the containers provided.
For larger groups and/or longer stays a Rental Agreement and a separate Security Deposit outside of Airbnb's terms will be required and held by the Host/Owner and will be returned within 15-30 days after your departure/check-out providing there is no damage from your stay.

Patrick's place is perfect for anyone with an appreciation of history and a love of the Outer Cape. It is located centrally for visiting the National Seashore, exploring the bayside, or spending a day in Provincetown. Patrick is an extremely thoughtful host, and he responded quickly to all of our questions.

Patrick's house is very close to the bay and ocean beaches. It had plenty of room for the entire family including the dog:) Great outdoor shower, nice fire pit. The house is restored to it's original beauty. There was a well stocked kitchen with plenty of towels and terrific linen. Patrick and Simba were always available for any questions and were very helpful and terrific to deal with:)

Patrick was an amazing host. The first evening we arrived, my husband had a chance to chat with him about our interests for our vacation. Patrick texted us several different ideas for an itinerary for our trip and all of his recommendations were right on target. He was easily available to answer any questions we had and directed us to some great restaurants. The house is on a pretty quiet street and is very old and charming, and the bed was comfortable. It was right down the street from a great beach and very nearby to some other great beaches that Patrick recommended. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Patrick's house is great! It was affordable, in a great location, and he was super helpful. The house is an antique and retains it's charm without feeling "old". Patrick has done an amazing job keeping it in top condition. Check in and out were smooth and Patrick was always willing to assist us or accommodate us if we had questions or needed anything. I would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I recently stayed here for a "babymoon" - a last minute weekend getaway before our first child is born. Patrick's home was absolutely beautiful and incredibly comfortable to stay in. Even at 36 weeks pregnant, the house is still in walking distance to the beach. Patrick was very welcoming and responsive to our requests. He also offered many recommendations for local restaurants and beaches that we really appreciated. We had a great experience and would certainly stay here again!

Thanks Lauren and Justin. It was nice meeting you both. I just did the math and you are very close to your due date. All the best on your first child and becoming parents. I heard an elderly woman say this morning that the closest thing to perfection in this world is a new born baby and especially when you look at your own. I wish you both all the best!!

It was our first visit to the Cape and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Eastham itself is a charming, historic town. The house location is perfect as it's an easy drive to the main beaches and parks, with many restaurants, convenience stores and a big gas station nearby, or you can use it as a home base for trips further afield. The house is clean, cozy and has all the basics you might need. Since it was just the two of us and our doggie we slept in the king bed downstairs- very comfortable. Patrick has gone to great lengths to keep the property well landscaped with lots of attention to detail. He was a friendly and attentive host who went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, and he was easy to reach via text message. We're hoping to return soon!

I fell in love with Eastham and the Outer Cape little by little after working in the area for a customer doing a building renovation and addition for 5 months back in the spring of 2004. I kept driving by this Antique Colonial, 3/4 Cape House that was built in c1725 that was for sale. After taking a look, putting in an offer and purchasing the property, I was hooked on Eastham and the Outer Cape.
I like to tell people that the Outer Cape slowly seduced me and eventually kidnapped me and it still has a strong hold of me.
I am a builder from Boston, born and bred my whole life. My great grandfather on my fathers side came here from Germany and my grandmother on my mother's side came here from Ireland.
I love to exercise and eat healthy as much as I can. I enjoy playing ice hockey 2-3 nights a week and I am usually refereeing local youth hockey games on the weekends.
It is important to me that you enjoy your stay, as my guests and feel as comfortable here as you would at your own home.
I have always loved older houses with their quality, charm and attention to detail and to have the opportunity to buy a house that was from the Colonial days and the forefathers of our Nation was very exciting for me.
This home was built 50 years before the beginning of the American Revolution in Lexington and Concord Massachusetts and 51 years before the drafting and signing of the Declaration of Independence by Thomas Jefferson and John Adams of Quincy MA. To think that some of those rugged colonial pilgrims that founded our Country lived in this house was very stirring to me.
I do hope you enjoy your stay here as much as I have and if the Outer Cape grabs a hold of you like it did to me I'm sure I'll be seeing you again.
