El lugar

The apartment is located on second floor and is a one bedroom apartment. It has two floors (watch out for the 'bump' when going upstairs): On the first first floor you get kitchen and shower and on the second floor there is bedroom with a little balcony. The apartment has one double bed in the bedroom on second floor and two fold-away armchairs both of which are also located in the bedroom on the second floor.

You'll be able to use kitchen (gas stove), fridge, electric kettle, dishes and other kitchen amenities, bathroom with shower and toilet. Cleans sheets and towels will be provided. There is free WiFi available. There is a tiny color TV available, with local terrestrial channels.

The guests will enjoy full privacy, but I will be a phone call away in case you need anything.

The area is probably the best place in Batumi, in stone paved old town, with wonderful architecture, brilliant cafes and shops. One of the best cafes is Literaturuli, where you can grab amazing cakes and their famous khachapuri. Film festival venue and the movie theatre is right across the corner. Baturmi Harbor, boulevard, theatre and modern art gallery is also five minutes walk away. Also nearby right at the boulevard entrance can rent a bike and visit the entire town or even head along the beautiful boulevard severals miles long. You'll find Batumi a very vibrant place, with centuries old architecture and yet very diverse and beloved spot by young artists and tourists alike. In boulevard you can also see several modern sculptures, the world's most beautiful McDonald's (really!) and the sculpture of Ali and Nino. Amazing kid friendly attractions include Batumi Zoo, Dolphinarium and Aquarium. You'll enjoy the spectacular Magic Dancing Fountain show every night, a bit like Barcelona or Bellagio of Vegas :) Last but not least, make sure you shop at Made in Georgia (53 Abashidze St.), the shop featuring clothing from independent Georgian designers (paksa is my fave designer).

You can literally walk anywhere as the apartment has a great location, but you can easily grab a cab for $3-4 a ride and also public transport or bikes available at bike rental machines. The apartment is located at a quiet street in old town where public transport is prohibited which is a great plus.

Of course WiFi is available for free of course. There is also an umbrella waiting for you in case it rains ;-)

Of course, there is beautiful traditional Jezve waiting for you so you can enjoy the traditional Batumian კოფე (coffee).

We stayed for three nights at Sop's lovely house. It's charming and located very central. Sop herself was a fantastic host. We've enjoyed to discover the city including some background stories together with her. If we could rate with six stars, we would.
