We are very sorry that you felt less than safe. Our guests' 100% satisfaction and safety is our number-one goal. As described in the listing, because the townhouse is strategically located right in the center of town between numerous popular and busy establishments including the two nicest casinos on the Gulf Coast (Hard Rock and Beau Rivage), five-star world class restaurants (Mary Mahoneys, the Half Shell, McElroys, etc.), the Saenger Theater, the new multi-million dollar MGM ballpark and is directly across the street from the area's regional hospital, it is certainly a busy, bustling place and the center of activity 24/7. Being in this urban setting with all the surrounding activity, it also brings with it lots of people and excitement. This is actually the very thing many of our guests have loved most about the property.
I have no doubt it was very busy day and night when you were there, but as for the area being 'questionable', I wish you would have called me with your concern so I could have tried to reassure you not to be worried. We have not had any problems there, and our neighbors are pillars of the community including attorney's, teachers, business owners, architects, and community leaders with properties selling for $300K-$500K each love it there and feel very safe. There are several local security companies that regularly patrol the area in addition to the Biloxi Police who keep a look out 24/7 for any suspicious activity. So sorry you didn't think to call them when the panhandler approached you. They would have been there immediately to handle it.
Regarding the extra roll-away beds, it is unfortunate that you did not read the property description "THE SPACE" thoroughly before you rented it so you wouldn't have been surprised or disappointed and before you wrote this review. In the description, I clearly state that it has two roll-away beds (not 'cots') in addition to the other four beds. The following is copied directly from my description: "3rd floor includes: 1 extra-large master suite with one queen bed and a master bath PLUS there are 2-twin size roll-away beds."
You wrote that we have two "COTS", which is incorrect. We do not have 'cots'. Cots are defined as "small, rigid, narrow camp beds with canvas stretched on a stiff frame". We have two 'Roll-away beds' defined as "beds mounted on casters to be moved away when not in use". We purchased these two new twin roll-away beds with real mattresses from the same furniture vendor that the Marriott and Hilton purchase their roll-away beds from to ensure they are the best roll-away beds available on the market.
You were great guests, and we are very sorry that our property did not meet your satisfaction. Please let us know if we can ever be of assistance to you.
