Quirky 1760 chapel resting in the heart of Shropshire. 6 mins to Ironbridge & Telford. Enjoy a beautiful country haven & relax. Warm welcome, large peaceful room with full ensuite & countryside views. History & Character guaranteed!
Our lovely old house is oozing with history and has many original Chapel features, sitting with our small holding, in the centre of a picturesque rural lane on a nature reserve.
Your room is a large double with relaxing ambience. We have recently installed a beautiful ensuite private bathroom with shower, basin and WC. There will be a tea and coffee welcome tray in your bedroom for your convenience with an array of teas and coffee on offer as well as a welcome pack, TV, comfortable sofa, hairdryer and other travel necessities. We are happy to prepare the room for anything up to four family members although it's standard decor is a double. We can add a fold up bed for one extra guest. If you book for four in total the two extra beds will be airbeds due to space restrictions. This will of course impact on the space available but it enables a family to be accommodated in one room together. It is a budget choice when booked for four of course. Please be clear on this. We have larger rooms which accommodate four easily but they are not ensuite. The sofa will be removed for bookings for four guests.
For a more spacious group booking; we have two additional rooms we book out, and can provide beds for up to fourteen guests.
We have three local pubs and a grocery shop in walking distance.
Our home is unique in that it appears to be in the middle of nowhere, yet is just five minutes from the M54 and Telford and the International Centre itself, as well as only a mile or so from Ironbridge, Ironbridge Gorge and the museums and world heritage sites there.
We have no over looking neighbours and the area is beautifully quiet. For most of the year you will be awoken by bird song in the mornings.
Free parking is available on site or safely nearby.
We ask that you treat your room as you would your own home and understand please that you are booking a room, not our entire family home.

Otros aspectos destacables
Chapel House is a big old house down a picturesque gravel lane, and will not look like a new build. We have pets and kids - Please be aware of that when you book! Our home has buckets of character and history in a delightful location, and is a very happy home, and what we offer reflects that. We are not pretending to be a boutique B and B or chain hotel and keep our prices low, our welcome warm and our hospitality genuine.
We have very friendly dogs (a St Bernard and two labradoodles) and a pet pot bellied pig and kune kune piglet (Lola and Albert). The dogs are much loved family pets and indoor dogs, downstairs only. We also have indoor cats. Given that we have several pets and small children, anyone with allergies or a dislike to either should not book a stay at our property!
We have other rooms available for large bookings and offer long term stays on request.
No shoes in the house please. We have antique wooden floors that need a lot of TLC.
We are a non smoking household but allow considerate smokers in the garden.
Single business guests are welcome to heat up a quick bite to eat in the evening. Beyond this, we are not self catering accommodation but hot, home cooked meals and drinks can be ordered by our guests for a charge of £10 per person or breakfasts can be added to bookings for £2.50 per person.
Our children use the kitchen midweek 8-8.30am to get ready for school. Guests can take preordered breakfasts then but the children will also be there!
We will need to know your arrival time. For guest arrivals after 11pm or before 4pm there is a £10 late/early check in charge. This must be agreed in advance but is usually something we can accommodate to help our guests needing extra flexibility.
Please remember this is a young family home and we will do our utmost to make you feel welcome and assist you in any way we can. Our reviews are testament to this. We ask that guests be friendly and courteous to ourselves and our children if you meet them. We have kids, pigs, dogs and cats. Please do not expect a hotel!
