Olga's apartment was peaceful and spacious. Olga and her husband were extremely responsive, warm, and caring, and I couldn't have asked for better hosts! The apartment has some old Parisian quirks but I was well briefed on them before moving in, and Olga and Alexis responded ASAP when I had questions. It was clean while not conforming to the IKEA aesthetic, and had a real, artistic Parisian vibe. Extremely Instagram-worthy! Working in the 5th, it was a longer commute, but it was a trade-off to be in such a peaceful neighborhood. Studently types should be aware that it is a decently long commute to the 5eme and nightlife south of the river, especially after the metro closes around 1h30. Commutes to places of interest took between 30 and 40 minutes. Yet, the area caters really well to families or those looking for longer stays, and the apartment is close to the more energetic and vibrant 10eme and the Marais! Walking or biking was easy (though tiring) and was often quicker than some train routes.
The amenities worked well, and all aspects under Olga's control were great. It is on the fifth floor and it should be listed as having an elevator! Guests should also be aware that while the apartment is big, the kitchen was small with two burner plates and no stove. However, this was made up for by the fact that the bed turns into a trundle bed, and the couch into a comfortable pullout bed, which was great for guests. I loved the balcony, and the proximity to small food shops! The 5th floor cross-breeze was excellent in thé summer, as well.
All in all, it was an extremely tranquil stay, and I can't wait to be back! Thanks Olga and Alexis! :)
