Steve's place was great! It was much bigger than I expected. The location is perfect, right on the lake and away from the road so it's very quiet except for the loons! Rangeley and Oquossic towns are close by for supplies. The cabin is cozy and was perfect for our vacation. We had a great time! Thank you Steve!

Peaceful spot on a beautiful lake. A tad difficult for loading and unloading up a hill to the parking spot, but worth the effort. Great porch and dock. We had a wonderful time there.

Our stay in Steve's log cabin was perfect, from start to finish. We arrived after dark, but were able to locate it easily thanks to Steve's detailed directions sent to us a few days prior. A water issue that we had was addressed right away and fixed that day. Truly wonderful time. Can't wait to stay again.

The most accurate description of this camp is the sound of the water lapping on the shoreline and the loons! You can see and hear the water from the front bedroom! it was wonderful. Sitting on the deck feels like being in a tree fort overlooking the water. The place is small, but very cozy and Steve provided everything we needed. The shower is outdoors, but it is great to take a warm shower in the cool morning air. Steve was very accommodating and gave us a flexible check in and check out. I highly recommend the 2 mile walk near the golf course, and also the walk to Piazza Rock. Be sure to take time to talk to the Appalachian Trail hikers up there. Most have been hiking since April and they love to chat for a few minutes. This was a great place to call home. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Steve's cabin was just perfect!!! We were pleasantly surprised how charming the inside is. The pics didn't show all the fun, creative details of this sweet cabin!! Right way we fell in love with the huge porch. We spent all our evenings here listening to the loons. It is just feet from the lake. Perfect!!! Our sunny days were spent in the dock with plenty of sunshine-morning and afternoon. It's just the place to have a morning coffee as well as watch the fantastic sunsets later in the day. We were lucky enough to have a full moon too. The kitchen had everything we needed-and more. There is a nice large bathroom and we loved the outdoor shower!!!! Beds are comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows. Steve gave us a detailed map with directions since it is a little tricky to find but it was easy to follow and worth the hunt. We have been coming up to this area for over 20 years and this is one of my favorite stays EVER!!!!! Thank you Steve.

The light, the sounds, the peace and the beauty will keep you on the private dock from morning till night. Sublime.

The log cabin was the perfect summer escape from our everyday hustle and bustle in Florida. This is such an incredible setting... pictures don't begin to do it justice. We had amazing weather and were able to spend much of our time on the lake. The water was crystal clear and cool. The dock extension had not yet been installed for the season, but with some careful maneuvering over the rocks, we were able to take some dips. An easy boat rental in town allowed us to explore the far reaches of this stunning lake one afternoon. The cabin was cozy and adorable. Beds were comfortable. There's not much sound privacy between the rooms, which was interesting with 5 people... but part of the charm. We saw a ton of deer and a million and one stars. We played from the arsenal of family board games and toasted marshmallows at the fire-pit at night. The kids had a blast. Our visit was absolutely everything we had hoped for... charming, peaceful and quiet. I already miss my morning coffee on the dock. Thank you so much for sharing your home and helping to make our first family trip to Maine such a memorable one!
