Welcome to the guest room in your quiet NE Portland home. (The living room and the full bath are yours, too.) Lovely walk to shops & restaurants. 10-min drive to city center. Public transit to everywhere. Ultrathick queen futon—plan to sleep well!
Please note! We no longer serve breakfast.
Your private bedroom, on the main floor, has south-facing windows that provide natural light all day. When the sun goes down, well, many guests swear that this queen bed has given them the best night's sleep of their lives. It's a thick, cotton futon with a foam core—not one of those fold-up doubles-as-a-couch futons (the kind that make people think they don't like futons) but a luxurious, ridiculously comfortable big honkin' mattress just like the one we sleep on—comfortably—every night.

Disponible para huéspedes
We will welcome you at the front door. That is your entrance during your stay.
Exclusively yours: 1st-floor bedroom and the full bath (a few feet from the bedroom).
Shared with us and possibly one or two other guests: TV room, kitchen, dining room, backyard BBQ & garden.
We live on the top floor of the house, so the living room (which is on the main floor, right next to your bedroom) is almost always available for your use. A few evenings each week, however, we invite our guests to join us there for wine, cheese & crackers, and conversation.
Atención a los huéspedes
We happily interact with you as much or as little as you like. Between us—Marcia, the night owl, and Ray, the early riser—we are available just about any time.
We live primarily on the 2nd floor of the house. We visit the 1st floor (where you live) to cook, sometimes to eat, and, during PAC-12 football season, to watch TV.
We have another gorgeous AirBnB rental space in the basement; guests staying there sometimes join us for evening conversation in the living room.
Ray has lived in Portland for 40+ years. Marcia's been here for almost 7 years. We don't dine out often, but we know of several wonderful places to eat, and our guests give us recommendations too. If you want opinions about what's outstanding (as opposed to merely great) in Portland, we're happy to share ours.

By bus, it's less than 30 minutes from your door to anywhere in the city.
If you plan to use Portland's 5-star public transportation system (Tri-Met goes everywhere), you might want to take a minute to download and familiarize yourself with the TRIMET app. (Go to (URL HIDDEN) Among the many good things the app does for you:
Shows you how to get from where you are to your nearest bus stop.
Tells you, to the minute, when the next bus arrives at your stop.
