Barricane is a double room with en-suite bathroom which has a lovely roll-top bath as well as showering facilities within the bath.
The Old Bakery is a great B&B with three guest bedrooms, all en-suite, plus self catering facilities just over a mile from Croyde on the fabulous North Devon Coast with it's world class surfing beaches and coastal path. At The Old Bakery we aim to provide a comfortable, relaxed and friendly B&B with some features which we believe make it a bit special and a bit different. Our priority is to make sure you have a wonderful stay and we are available to assist in any way we can. We want you to leave with some great memories!
We provide a great full Devon cooked breakfast using our own eggs and home made bread and locally sourced bacon and sausages, or you can enjoy a vegetarian or continental style breakfast. We cater for most special diets such as gluten or dairy free.
Our special feature is that the kitchen is available to guests after we have finished serving breakfast offering a semi-self-catering option. In fact parties booking all three guests rooms can opt to fully self cater. Please enquire for more details and prices.
Our bedrooms have comfortable beds and are decorated in a contemporary style. All are en-suite with a good selection of complimentary beverages and toiletries, plus a TV with Freeview and built in DVD. Wifi is available throughout most of the house.
"Barricane" has a double bed with a good sized en-suite bathroom which has a lovely roll top bath and shower.
We have two other bed rooms so please check out our other listings.
- "Putsborough" is a twin bedroom with en-suite shower.
- "Baggy Point" is on the ground floor and has two divan beds and a good sized en-suite shower and toilet. The beds can be arranged as either twins or a Super Kingsized double to suit. There is also a sofa bed that can accommodate up to 2 additional people. The shower has a low profile tray, seat and grab rail and is big enough for a manual wheelchair so this room may suit people with impaired mobility. It is located next to the lounge and kitchen and has a lovely view into the garden.
In addition we have a guest lounge and you can use the patio and garden to relax in on sunny days. The house has free WiFi and plenty of DVD's, games, books and puzzles for the longer winter evenings. We have storage for surfboards and wet suits and bikes and passes to Putsborough Beach car park at a much reduced rate. Then there are our two very friendly pubs with great food within easy walking distance.
We are open year round with special mid and low season rates. Don't think that the seas side is for summer only - every season has it's own unique character whether it is a stunning winter sunset, a stormy sea or the spring flowers. And outside of the holiday periods you can have much of it to yourself!

Having lived in the city of Bristol most of our married life, my wife and I made the move to Georgeham in 2011 and have never looked back. Having had careers as an engineer and nurse, we set up The Old Bakery initially as a B&B, but then in 2014 converted a derelict building in the garden in to The Garden Room providing fully self-catering accommodation.
We enjoy being part of village life as well as the local countryside where we love to walk. I am also a keen amateur photographer and have a web site with many local views: www.georgehamphotography.co.uk . All images are for sale with profits going to a charitable trust we set up in 2009 called Paul's Fund.
Paul's Fund pays for young adults with a life threatening illness to come and stay for free and we call our accommodation Paul's Place in the context of the charity. visit www.pauls-fund.co.uk for more information.
