Experience New Orleans in "Grand" style! Walker Mansion on St Charles Ave is an amazing piece of New Orleans history; built in 1880 by the famed architect Thomas Sully. Easy access to the Street Car, and a front row seat to Mardi Gras parades.

El alojamiento
Unit 3, a studio apartment on the 1st floor, Sleeps 5-6 and has 2 Queen beds, Queen Sleeper Sofa, Kitchenette, Dining with 4 chairs, 1 Bathroom, private balcony on Courtyard side of the house. The 2 Queen beds can accommodate 4 adults, and there is an additional Queen sofa-bed which can also sleep an adult or a couple of kids. However, the space is tight for more than 4 guests.

In a way that is uniquely New Orleans, the mansion has been subdivided into 7 separate apartments. All of the apartments are completely private with their own entrance, kitchenettes, and private bathrooms. And there are some additional common spaces in the building that are available for all guests to use if desired.

>Stunning architectural details - soaring 14-foot ceilings, original hardwood floors with inlay, gorgeous chandeliers, intricate wainscoting and crown molding.
> The Gourmet Master Kitchen has marble counter tops and top of the line appliances. Wolf 6 burner gas range, Sub-zero fridge and freezer, 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers. It is available for all guests to use if they want to.
> The Grand Dining Hall with seating for 10 and features a beautiful fireplace, original pocket doors, and a magnificent chandelier, available for all guests to use.
> Sun-room has a couch for lounging, also available for common use.
>Laundry room with a half-bath is available for common use.
>Courtyard and Front Veranda also available for all to use.

History - Walker Mansion, a beautiful Queen Anne Italianate of the Victorian Era was built in 1880 by famed architect, Thomas Sully, who designed many of the mansions on St. Charles Avenue during that period. This 10,000 square foot Garden District Mansion was built for Colonel Joseph Walker, the Baron of the St Charles Railroad (now Streetcar). He was known as a "Swashbuckling Capitalist" who made his fortune in the gambling business, which was considered a less than honorable profession at that time.

You will have access to Unit 3, your private unit, which is on the first floor and includes your private balcony. You will also have access to all of the common areas on the first floor including the Master Kitchen/Dining, Laundry, Sun Room, Foyer, Front Veranda, and Rear Courtyard. You will not have access to the upper floors of the mansion.
