I'm a Turkish Language Teacher and Creative Drama Trainer in Beyoğlu.
I follow up the renovations that are related to education and I'm interested in theatre and litretature. When I was a university student I took part in an amateur drama group. Besides, I have been working as a volunteer and member of board at a non governmental organization which studies in the field of creative drama for five years. In recent years, I have been pondering about the gender mainstreaming and discrimination issues. I care about the studies of women organizations and LGBBTI.
I love spending time on the streets and coexisting with other people.
The moments, which I spend with my close friends , are the most cheerful ones.
Even though I am not able to spend much time at home because of the bussy city life in winter months I love protecting the tideness and warm atmosphere of my house. I have just moved this flat and I'm trying to create peaceful, comfortable and cozy environment. Anymore, I live in the neighbourhood that I always wanted to live in. BEYOĞLU...I think if you live in here, you really feel yourself in İstanbul:)
It is important for me that when my friends come to my house, they should feel relaxed themselves. First of all I give them pyjamas or clothes because they feel at home:))
Altough I have a long holiday in summer, I attend some volunteer activities for a while. I usually go on a vacation with my friends. In recent years I prefer staying in a tent instead of staying at a hotel in the city centre. Because I love natural camps very much.
One of the things that I have always wanted to do but I haven't been able to create an opprtunity is learning a foreign language. It upsets me very much. I think because I am a teacher of Turkish mother tongue I always stick the rules. I'm sure that my guests will be a good chance for practicing
I can also help them to speak Turkish if they want.
Apart from all these, I believe that the only lingua franca is tolerance.
