Situated at the foot of Red Rock Mountain, this cute & cozy camper is the perfect place to unwind and take in what nature has to offer. Located in the 22 acre Red Rock Mountain Campground, a modest family owned campground for the adventurous at heart just one mile west of the route 118 entrance of Ricketts Glenn State Park where you can hike the 22 waterfalls.

El alojamiento
Our camper is a 28' camper with a 'master' bedroom featuring a queen size bed, and a bunk toward the rear of the camper with a twin over full bunk bed. The space is ideal for girls trips, families or couples wanting to experience 'camping' in the woods with more comfortable sleeping arrangements and amenities. Please understand THIS IS CAMPING. While this is a shelter of sorts, this is not a home. Things like hot water, plumbing, humidity levels, and even the occasional mouse/chipmunk house guest may be a little 'different' than what you are accustomed to in your home. Ideally, the space is best for 2 adults or families with up to 3 children. Maximum of 4 adults and/or 5 guests at any time. If you're a first time camper, we provide a lot of instruction to help you have a wonderful experience on the mountain. Once again, this is 'glamping' but that is still a form of camping. A guest binder is provided which lists ample things to do, places to visit, loads of information on Ricketts Glen State park, and much more. A mini Keurig, microwave, stove and refrigerator are all yours to use.

A charcoal stove with everything you need and wood for the fire pit are provided. Although small in size, the bathroom does have a tub style shower for little ones. We also have a CD player stereo if you happen to be a child of the 80's and 90's, so dig out your favorite mix and let the sweet melodies of Duran Duran & Pearl Jam (or whatever you're into) waft throughout the camper.

Please note: Verizon is the only reliable cell carrier at the campground. ATT is next best, most other carriers likely will not work at all.

Acceso para huéspedes
Guests have access to anything in the camper! We provide dishes, coffee & tea, linens, fire pit, mountain pie iron, games, books and cards. There are two beach chairs available to take to Lake Jean and some sand toys if needed. Please remember to bring your own beach towels for Lake Jean, as our towels are not to be removed from the camper. The campground is simple and charming, with tiny cottages and tent sites in addition to the RV sites, and a weekend flea market on site! Please be aware that other campers will be on the grounds during your stay, including fellow RV campers, tent campers and cottage campers. We ask that you be respectful at all times. Please note that the bath house facilities are specifically available for tent and cottage campers, and our camper has it's own bathroom and shower which you are to use at all times.

Otros aspectos destacables
You should know that this is a 10+ year old camper, in a campground with multiple other guests throughout the season. While we try to keep the space as clean as possible, bugs and bits of nature are not out of the ordinary here. We welcome you to experience a woodsy stay in a comfortable environment and embrace all that nature has to offer. The campground is a modest setting that will take you back in time a bit. We do not have a TV or internet access, and the only solid cell phone reception is typically via ATT or Verizon. We encourage you to unplug, and relax during your stay!

The Benton area is a hidden gem full of old charm, lots of little family owned businesses and gorgeous rolling hills, quirky antique shops and endless mountains and lots of farm views and natural areas. Ricketts Glen State Park is definitely the main attraction of the camp site, with the main entrance and park office 4 miles up the mountain, but you can also find many other things to keep you occupied during your stay which are outlined within the Guest binder inside the camper.

After leaving northeast PA to live in places like Philadelphia and the burbs of Atlanta, we found ourselves longing to return to the mountains of Pennsylvania. I love to spend time in the city but the country is where I call home. We are a family of 6 with lots of furry friends and a love for travel and everything outdoors. I am excited to share this great space with you and hope you will love the mountains as much as we do!
