Welcome to the Painted Pony Bungalow. Take a step back in time in this 100 year old charming bungalow secluded from the street by a giant oak tree. Dog friendly (please inquire) full back yard complete with large hot tub and a natural gas BBQ. We are walking distance from Downtown.
Painted Pony Bungalow features these amenities:
Charming kitchen with original cabinetry, and a 50’s era Wedgewood stove, microwave, bright red corner booth, a microwave, a coffee maker and a washer & dryer tucked away in a closet. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, utensils and tableware.
French doors open to the garden and deck, with a hot tub/spa seating six and a natural gas barbeque and a patio dining table. The private yard is fully enclosed and dog-friendly.
High-tech goodies include broadband Wi-Fi, 40” HDTV, DVD/CD player and an iPod/iPhone dock. The living and dining rooms feature early 20th century cabinetry and trim, oak floors and a gas fireplace.
The master bedroom has a queen bed. The front bedroom has a full bed. Both beds are extremely comfortable and have toppers. Fresh bed linens and towels are provided. The full bathroom, conveniently positioned between the two bedrooms (Jack & Jill style) has been recently renovated with new sink & low-flow toilet, and a refinished tub & shower.

Painted Pony Bungalow is only six blocks from State Street, close enough for an easy walk and far enough to escape traffic and noise.
At State Street you'll find the Museum of Art and the newly rebuilt Granada Theater. The Santa Barbara County Bowl is three blocks away. The beach is two miles by car or bicycle. It’s only a mile to Santa Barbara Mission and Rose Garden.

We live ten minutes away, so we can respond quickly should there be any problems.

One of the attractions of Painted Pony Bungalow is its location in a quiet residential neighborhood. Please respect our neighbors by keeping noise and music to considerate levels. Especially in the evening, avoid playing music out of doors. If you use the hot tub later than 10 PM, please don’t run the jets and keep voices down.
No more than four guests are allowed to stay at the bungalow.
Pets may not be on the property without prior arrangement and fees.

We are Eric Kelley and Peggy Lindt. Eric is the owner of The Book Den, California's Oldest Used Book Store. Peggy is a freelance medical illustrator and commercial artist. She also enjoys painting life size portraits with a passion for dogs. Her art work has been used in postcards, calendars, books, and several Old Spanish Days Fiesta posters.
