This is not really an air bnb. Rather, it is a unit in a roadside motel set above an uninviting trailer park, which included a unit with what seemed like a perpetual yard sale in it's front yard, and another unit with a Confederate flag on display. It's as if the trailer park has no rules or standards. The unit itself had a large mural of Sasquatch on it, which could be seen as charming -- but not by me or my family. We were horrified when we drove up, but since the host's terms were full payment in advance, we really had no choice but to stick by my poor choice. The unit had a musty smell and my wife described the furniture as being the leftovers after a garage sale -- the stuff no one wanted to buy for $5 or $10. The unit next door is attached and in the morning I heard every word of a cell phone discussion from the other unit. I was lucky because this was more "just another thing" than a problem, but i'm sure this could have been another issue. We had visions -- based on the listing- of spending some time in the unit. Instead, we used it only to sleep and were glad to leave it each of the two mornings we were there. In short, I would recommend you consider other options.

We had a great rainy coast weekend. The kids loved loved the murals. The openness and privacy of the house was perfect. Largest spa tub we've ever encountered.

This was an amazing experience! The host were wonderful!! So accommodating and helpful!! We brought our sons and their friend to do some deep sea fishing, clamming and crabbing. The host accommodated us with full gear.. (Clam guns, buckets and crab pods) and gave us great pointers and advise. They helped us cook our crab that we caught and even went out of their way to get us a few crab crackers. (Which I think was the only thing that wasnt supplied in the room). The room was perfect for what we needed. It came supplied with all dishes (including silverware and cooking utensils), pots and pans, microwave and fringe. The jacuzzi tub was a nice treat to come back to after a day of getting wet, muddy and cold! The landscaping around the rental was perfect, a grassy area where the kids could toss the football around and a patio with a picnik table and a bbq. ( we didn't use the bow but I did notice you may have to supply your own propane tank, however the hosts were so accommodating I'm sure if you asked you'd be surprised with what they come up with!) The only con is have to say that it's located in an rv park which at first isn't pleasing to the eye.. However, the host do an amazing job at the up keep around the property. Everyone there seemed very nice and welcoming.

Jesse was great about keeping in touch. All those involved were friendly and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the suite, since there were four of us. It was clean, and had a full kitchen. The two suggestions would be to fix the shower so that it works better and mildew treatment. We were happy to be close to Charleston!

2/5 stars. Because: the cost for this place was double what it should have been had I been able to actually see it first, it's in a very run down RV park, and the actual room is musty-smelling. On the upside the host was actually very nice and pleasant and helpful.

The room was spacious, the hosts very friendly. I loved that we were able to use crab pots and get lots of useful information. However, I do feel the description was a bit misleading; I wish I would have known it was on a RV lot and attached to another Suite. Other than that great stay!

We had a great time staying here & I highly recommend this place – especially if you’d like to go/try clamming and crabbing! Alicia & Jesse are very friendly and easy going, as well as very informative about the area. Jesse took us clamming our first morning there and we had a great time digging up our limit of clams! Then, he taught us how to clean them and gave us some ideas on how to cook them. The unit has a gas bbq, so it was easy to grill them. A couple of days later, after more great instructions from Jesse & Alicia, we took some of their crab cages and went crabbing. As soon as we returned Jesse set up the crab cooking and cleaning area for us and showed us how to cook and clean them. It was a lot of fun and we had great self-caught seafood to eat the whole time we were there. Regarding the unit, everything was very, very clean and looked just like the photos. The bathroom and bathtub are huge, and there’s a nice private area to sit right outside the unit with a picnic table and bbq. Since they also are running a motel there, they provide daily housekeeping service too. Overall, it was a fantastic experience staying here.
