A beautiful house in the historical hart of Ghent! Sint-Ivo is located in one of the top residential neighbourhoods of Ghent: the cosy, peaceful prinsenhof with it's beautiful oak trees and the lively vibrating city just one streetcorner away!
Sint-Ivo is a 3 level house. -1: bathroom, 0: entrance hall, +1: 2 bedrooms, +2: living room, dining area, kitchen and buro. There are about ten to twelve steps between every floor. So very small staircases. :)

The whole house is yours! :)
And the neighbors are sweet enough to let you park your bikes in their storage room…and NO, you are not allowed to use their garden!
Otros aspectos destacables
The city of Ghent asks a tourist tax of 3 euro per night per person. The tourist tax is not included in the price listed on airbnb! This tax has to be paid cash on site.
The rules are easy: respect the house as if it was yours and respect our neighbors! :D
If you break something just let us know so we can repair or replace it. Small things like broken glasses won't be charged…these things just happen. Big things like a broken teve or bath tub (yes that last one really happened…) will be charged! The house is located near the river Lieve and lately we have had a lot of issues with rising ground water in the storage room where the washing machine is located. Just let us know when there is too much water we will come and clean it up!
We try to be as flexible and willing as possible depending on the needs of the guests coming before and after you. We completely respect your privacy. You will not be bothered during your stay. We try to arrange a personal check-in but if your and our schedule doesn't match you can check-in on your own with a personal code for the front door. You can always contact us through airbnb or text…we try to answer as quickly as we can! :)
I'm Barbara, a 39 year old local Ghent girl crazy about chocolate and pilates! Friends describe me as 'Audrey Hepburn meets bubblegum'! I kinda think this explains it all! ;)
I host a beautiful house called Sint-Ivo in the historical city center of Ghent together with my friend and colleague Karen.
The house dates from the 14th century. It was originally called 'The Cogghe' - a referral to the ships that cruised the river. In 1748 the lawyers association together with doorkeepers and prosecutors settled into the house and named it Saint Ivo - lawyer of the poor in the 13th century.
Karen and I are also working on a dream project called THE HIDE!
We like to call THE HIDE an urban hideaway hotel. It's a luxury apartment hotel in the city center of Ghent with a contemporary edge and an eye for beauty. A place for the urban explorer. An oasis for the indepently minded guests.
The Hide is coming soon to airbnb! If you are already curious check out our website on the glorious worldwideweb
