Great 7 night stay!
A superb base for staying just out of Dubrovnik. (10/15 mins to drive) The views on the drive down in to Dubrovnik are unreal. Cavtat is a nice little place also, 5/10 mins from the accomadation, some good restaurants and the harbour is nice with an almost Marbella feel with a fair few extravagant Yatchs. There is also a small pebble beach (everywhere has pebble beaches, except Banje beach which is imported sand) 5 minutes walk, there are a lot of steps but its worth it.
Niksa's place was very much what we were looking for. The pool was superb with breath taking views looking out, very peaceful and quiet. The Jacuzzi was a nice little extra for when the sun had gone down. We had lunch on our balcony daily (apart from the 2 days of rain - chance you take mid September!) overlooking the coastline watching boats sailing in Cavtat harbour. Just a minor, panoramic views are beautiful however if you look down from the balcony or poolside you get a few old buildings and what looked like a small car/motorbike garage with parts of engines at the road side.
We rented a car for the week which enabled us to get about wherever we liked. Split was around 3.5 hours drive, crossing the boarder of Bosnia, then on a toll road which cost around 60 Kuna/£7.00 each way. Petrol is around the price as home (UK) £1.10 per litre.
I would recommend Niksa's place to couples more than anything else what with the relaxed atmosphere and location. Families may struggle to find things for the children to do in my opinion.
All in all a fantastic stay, and would absolutely go back again. Niksa and his wife seem nice people, they left us to it but assured us if there were any problems or questions to just ask.
