This is a private suite off the shared entry on the first floor of our two story home. We are on a quiet street three blocks from downtown. Enjoy our sunny green room, incredible views and easy access to lake, trails, and buses to Boulder!
We want our guests to feel comfortable here and since this is a home stay, not a hotel, there are considerations for sharing our space.
We do not permit any smoking in the house, however, the greenhouse (off the kitchen) is a (420) smoker-friendly area. Tobacco is outside only, please ask us for an ashtray.
Since we live on a dirt road, we ask that you leave your dirty/wet shoes in the entry. Dry shoes only need a swipe on the front door mat.
Please respect quiet time after 10:30 pm.
Fires in the outdoor chimnea and greenhouse wood stove need to be supervised by us due to the many fire bans in Boulder County.
We are somewhat flexible on arrival times, but generally check in is at 4pm. If your check in plans are not around 4pm, please connect with us ahead so we are not home waiting for you. We would also appreciate if you kept us apprised of your check out plans the night before. Check out is by 11 am on the day of your departure.
As dog owners we know it's hard to find places that welcome pets. If you have a dog that is mellow, well trained and gets along with other dogs and people, we may consider welcoming him/her, please ask ahead of time if you are traveling with your pet.
My name is Sharon and I live in the foothills west of Boulder, Colorado with my husband Burt and our 10 year old shorthaired terrier Oliver. We are semi-retired, Burt was staff at the University of Colorado at Boulder for 31 years and is also a poet and musician. I am a Postpartum Doula (like a baby nurse) for 25 years. You can learn more about my work by visiting motherbabydoula on line.
We love great food, local color, meeting new people, softball, music, gardening, movies and hiking the local trails.
We enjoy traveling, and have seen much of the US and a bit of the world and know it's nice to stay in a home over a hotel, and since our son is grown, we have a beautiful place to share.
