I am seriously shocked that Charity would say I wasn't hospitable. She asked for a discounted rate in her booking request and I provided one. She ignored the house rules regarding extra guests however I did not ask her to leave early as permitted by Airbnb. I kindly reminded her of the rules. After check out, I did ask her to pay for the drywall damage but she refused and rather than fight over it I let it go. The only time I wasn't hospitable was her request to stay another month. She never mentioned slow internet service, furniture, hard floors, or mosquitos as issues. It is July in Florida. We have mosquitos but only a problem in the hot summer months. We live in a condo and are not allowed to install a screen like she suggested. Yes we have hard floors. We have beautiful tile floors and carpet in the bedroom, and contrary to above we do have rugs in the den and bathroom. Also, never had an issue with the wifi and never a complaint from previous guests. I guess it could be an issue if you use it excessively or work from home like Charity does. I offer wifi as a convenience for my guests at no additional charge like some hosts do. Yes our water was accidental turned off for a few hours by maintenance who was installing a new water heater for my neighbor. They made a mistake. I apologized for the inconvenience. Yes the garbage compactor is far away but a very easy (and enjoyable) stroll along the water. You certainly don't have to be in good shape to make that walk but you can drive it there if you prefer. I prefer to walk. It's a beautiful gated community and I get to enjoy the rabbits, birds or Dolphins that way. Parking is free however a barcode can be purchased in the office to allow faster entrance through the owners gate. Yes it's $20 and optional and worth every penny in my opinion. I purchased one myself.
