El anfitrion muy amable, hablaba un poco español, lo cual siempre es de agradecer. Los niños se lo pasaron genial.

This is a nice spot in a very scenic area. The accommodations are very basic. We had trouble with our rental car and the hosts were extremely accommodating of our schedule changes.

Russagh Mill's hostel was a great place with lots of fun activities to do... We even were able to shoot archery in the back with a local teacher.

This was a really cool place, but we came and went pretty quickly so didn't take full advantage of all it had to offer. It has a lot of adventure opportunities on site- rock wall, bikes, kayaks, etc. I imagine if you were staying a few days, you would enjoy all of those and the nearby hiking trail and waterways. We arrived just as a large group departed, so things were nice and quiet. I'm not sure how loud or busy it would feel if it was at capacity. Definitely more of a traditional hostel feel than a hotel, even with a private room. Clean and looks like it is in the process of being remodeled/renovated, so that's cool. Nice big kitchen if you wanted to bring food and cook. We had to leave early after our one night stay, and weren't entirely sure how to check out as everyone was still asleep, but didn't seem to be an issue for the host. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a fun place to stay in a really cool part of Ireland. Do stay away from nearby Leslie's hamburgers. I'm pretty sure it gave me food poisoning.

I stayed in a private room which was comfortable and cozy. The hostel is a very welcoming and friendly place. Newly renovated showers and bathrooms were a luxury! Kitchen is quite large and was easily shared among multiple guests. The outdoor patio became a conversation hub for planning day outings and travel plans with the hosts and other guests. I especially enjoyed my paddling outing to Lough Hyne, a marine lake, where I experienced beautiful scenery and biodiversity. Jumping into the incoming tide to ride the current was a new adventure! Would only stay here on my next visit to Skibbereen. Hosts Shawn and Paul were amazing and were generous with there suggestions of unique experiences to be had in the area. Was one of my favorite parts of my trek to Ireland!
