This beautifully renovated and decorated 5br, 4.5ba traditional modern home is situated just a driveway away from one of the most cherished stretches of road in all of East Hampton -- Gerard Drive. A 5 minute bike ride to the Springs General store and Farmers Market, and 5 minute walk to the nearest beach.

Belonging to an art and furniture collector, this home is adorned with contemporary art and vintage mid century furniture, rarely found in a Hamptons rental. This custom-built home was beautifully designed to allude to the shingled cottages of Jackson Pollack and Willem DeKooning's springs while enjoying the modern amenities and conveniences expected in the modern Hampton's vacation home. The 2,560+/- sq. ft. residence, with high end details and finishes also boasts an additional 840+/- sq. ft. in its finished lower level, as well as a pool and pool house.
The entertainment wing of the house is comprised of a massive, open great room which incorporates a large dining space, as well as a large living room with beamed cathedral ceilings, a 13x15 wraparound sofa, fireplace, and French doors to a screened-in bluestone porch. There is also the chef's kitchen, which offers ample cabinetry and storage, a large island with bar seating, plus a prep area with sink, wine fridge, and ice machine. Granite counters, and high-end appliances include a Sub-Zero refrigerator, GE Monogram dual ovens, dishwasher, and gas range with grill and griddle.
On the other side of the central foyer is the two-story bedroom wing, nicely separated from the entertaining spaces. On the first floor we find a large guest bedroom suite with a walk-in closet and private deck as well as a large bathroom with a glass shower, Carrara marble tub surround, and dual sinks. Across the hall is another nicely appointed guest room.
Upstairs is the master suite with walk-in closet, private mahogany deck, and large bath with glass shower, dual sinks, jet tub, and custom tile work. A fourth guest bedroom and full bath complete the second floor.
In the finished basement there is a large entertainment/game room, with another massive wraparound sofa, bunk beds, a spacious laundry and plenty of room for storage.
The home is outfitted throughout with high bandwidth Wi-Fi, Sonos music, and two 65 inch smart TVs one in the living room and and another in the basement media room, to facilitate streaming of your favorite content.
The back yard has a true Hamptons "estate" feel with a 40x16 gunite pool with large bluestone patio, teak loungers and umbrellas, and a gorgeous pool house complete with lounge/sleeper sofa, wet bar, full bathroom as well as a private outdoor shower. The built in barbecue and outdoor dining area complete the picture for this entertainers dream. Lounge at the pool.....or perhaps a refreshing drink on your screened in porch?...feeling adventurous?...grab a kayak and clam rake and catch your dinner....or just kick back on your couch and look at a great painting...This house has it all!

- There is an additional pool heating fee
- Self check-in with smart lock
- Absolutely NO PETS in the home without prior permission from owner under any circumstance.
- No additional guests (day or night) without prior approval
- No more than 4 cars allowed in driveway at any time. (this is an East Hampton town rule)
- No cars parked on the street
- No smoking inside or outside the house. Hookah or e-cigs also not allowed.
- Outside noise at night must be kept to a bare minimum
- Gates leading to pool/yard must never be left open (pool safety and the deer will eat our landscaping).
- Drones are not allowed
- No pool use after 10pm
- Acknowledgement that we have 3 security cameras on the exterior of our home.
- Must climb stairs - Our home is 2.5 stories
- Security Deposit - renter is responsible for all damages.

Springs is East Hampton’s sleepier, more rural hamlet, a woodsy place with quiet bay and harbor beaches, a number of marinas, and luminous views that inspired the likes of such artists as Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning, both of whom worked and are buried there. Springs remains for many a retreat from the summer hubbub of East Hampton proper. Folks tend to gather at the General Store on weekend mornings. There are chairs on the front porch and picnic tables outside near Accabonac Creek. Kayaks can be rented at the store and put in out back.
Springs itself is a peninsula extending north from East Hampton and reachable by two main roads that fork off of East Hampton’s North Main Street -- Three Mile Harbor Road to the left, named for the harbor it skirts as one travels deeper into Springs, and Spring-Fireplace Road to the right. At the terminus of the latter, one can see Gardiner’s Island, one of the world’s largest privately-held islands and technically a part of Springs, though off limits to all but invited guests.
In the Springs, you’re never too far from the harbor or bay, but the nearest ocean beaches are in Amagansett at Atlantic Avenue, Indian Wells Highway, and Napeague Lane, a 15-minute drive depending where you are in the hamlet. Parking at these beaches, too, is by permit only during the day in the summer months, but at Atlantic Avenue, day passes are available on non-holiday weekdays. Weekday passes are also available at Main and Two Mile Hollow Beaches in East Hampton Village, with a limited number of weekend passes sold there on a first-come, first-served basis.
Louse Point, with Accabonac Harbor on one side and Gardiner’s Bay on the other, is a serene beach beloved by families and renowned for its sunsets. Opposite the channel from Louse Point is Gerard Point, which is reached from Gerard Drive off Springs Fireplace Road. Summer cottages and tiny bungalows are strung the length of this long, thin peninsula, which has little beach spots on both sides. A roundtrip walk from one of the parking areas all the way to the point makes for a decent bit of exercise and offers pretty views of the harbor, Gardiner’s Bay, and Gardiner’s Island across the water.
