Our flat forms part of an 18th Century Listed tenement building in the old port town of Leith (now part of Edinburgh) and is entitled the Waterloo buildings, as it was built in 1815, the year of the famous victory. It has all the original fireplaces and plasterwork - we have endeavoured to be sympathetic to our surroundings when remodelling the space and have made much of the quirky corners and archways. You will share with us the bathroom, kitchen and our large living/dining area if you choose.
This is a double room on the quiet side of the flat. It is a warm and cozy room. We are very near public transport to Princes Street or within walking distance of ocean Terminal - a shopping mall where the Royal Yacht Britannia is permanently berthed.

You will have access to our well fitted, cooks' kitchen - all condiments and equipment are yours to share. There is also a shared bathroom.

I endeavour to reply to emails by return, otherwise, I have a friend who acts as a "meet and greet" for guests arriving.
Otros aspectos destacables
The flat is situated in an 18th century building and there is a rather grimy looking joint stairwell - please don't be put off, as our flat is very clean and has been very well maintained, with the old world character being very well preserved.
Please treat the space as your own. We want you to feel comfortable here.
I'm Catherine and I'm married to Angelo. We have 4 kids - two, Dominic & Paul, are living at home with us and the others are currently living in Toronto. I am Canadian born, but have lived in Scotland forever and Angelo is an Italian-Scot, Leith born and bred, of Italian parents.
We have spent most of our working lives in the catering business - first of all we had a deli in the Royal Mile and now I'm working in product development management for a small independent retailer.
My real passion is for interiors and I love finding fun ways to upgrade old pieces of furniture and artifacts to give them a new lease of life.
We have a big family centred living space which we love to share. We hope you can come and stay with us sometime - we will make you very welcome!
