I have my own separate studio at the property. I confess that I am a bit of a recluse (a Cancerian in her shell). At the same time, I am eager to please and only a holler away if you need anything from directions to a restaurant recommendation. If you want to talk culture, Hawaiian history, philosophy or share your story, let me know and the coffee, tea, or glass of wine will bring me out of my cave! ;-)

I live alone with my two pups in my private apartment upstairs. They are NOT yappers, but will sound an occasional alert bark if a strange person or dog enters the property.
They are well-loved, well-behaved, free of fleas or ticks and I generally keep them separate from the guest quarters. If you leave a door open, they will consider it an invitation to come in and welcome you with puppy love! They are both under 10 pounds, excessively friendly and love attention. I also have an outdoor cat named Bella.
In Hawaii, wild chickens roam freely, and most every neighborhood has a neighbor with chickens and a rooster. If the Hawaiian Nene Goose wasn't already our state bird, the chicken would easily get the title! Lol! I have become used to them as part of the culture and it wouldn't feel like Hawaii without them!
No Smoking Indoors. There is a relaxing ocean-view table set up outside away from the windows for smokers.

When you arrive, you will find parking in 2 covered carport spaces, and an extra space on the street along the white stucco wall in front of the house, next to our driveway. The entrance is to the left of the carport/ laundry. In the courtyard, on the right, you will see lots of beach chairs, umbrellas and snorkel gear. Help yourselves! Coolers, games, beach bags and other supplies are in the 2 cabinets below the community living room TV. It is a smart TV, so help yourself if you like Netflix. You do have your own private living room and full kitchen. Sometimes utensils and kitchen supplies get mixed between the units, so feel free to help yourself to anything you need. The Wifi code is on the refrigerator, and ice packs for the coolers in the freezer. Help yourselves to coffee, tea, and anything you like in the cabinet above the coffeemaker. There is plenty of space in the other cabinets above the microwave and for your food. I try to keep the counters clean. There is a basket filled with maps (for you to keep) on the kitchen counter, and Maui guide books on the right side bottom shelf in the living room you can borrow. Help yourself to anything in the library, just try to put it back in good condition.
There should be a key for you on your kitchen counter. That is the best place to leave it when you check out, please. Make yourselves at home! There will be other travelers like yourselves staying, so please introduce yourselves. I hope you will enjoy all the outdoor dining areas and gardens.
As I am traveling in August and the first week of September 2015, James, my son, lives upstairs and can help if you can't reach me for any reason. His cell phone is (phone number hidden). If you ask him, he can give you a tour of all our tropical fruit trees including Mango, Calamansi limes, oranges, Medicinal Noni, Aloe Vera, Vanilla orchids, Papaya, and more.
If you need, AllSave can save you $ with an affordable local car rental, and my friend, Michelle (phone number on the refrigerator) can give you concierge discounts on your activities!! Please let me know if I can answer ANY additional questions or concerns.
