Ur Home in Philly is not a neon sign. We’re focused on each guest’s personal experience while they’re staying at one of our locations. But there are some advantages to choosing us for your short-term stay in Philadelphia that go beyond the customer service I provide to our guests.
Hotel rooms are notoriously identical to one another: they’re small, cramped, sparsely-furnished places few people look forward to when planning a business or vacation trip. And whether you’re using a company credit card or paying out of your own pocket, have you ever felt like the cost truly matched the value of what you got in return?
The answer, for most of us, is no. Hotels are undersized, overpriced, and isolating. I started Ur Home in Philly because I realized that there is an opportunity to change that sense of being ripped off or crammed in at hotels. All it takes is a refusal to do things the way hotels do them, and a focus on actually providing real value for every dollar your guests spend.
For example, our properties are not rooms, they’re homes. These fully-furnished apartments provide all of the comfort, space, and amenities that a hotel room lacks. Philadelphia has a delicious restaurant scene, but sometimes you want to cook something up yourself. Our monthly rentals include fully-equipped kitchens and dining rooms, allowing you enjoy a home-cooked meal any time.
In fact, our properties are not only homes in and of themselves, but most are situated within upscale buildings full of long-term residents. There are no suspicious transient guests, just Philadelphians proud of their communities. As our comparison page illustrates, our offerings are all at least twice as large as the average hotel room. One of Philadelphia’s most highly-rated hotels will charge you prices comparable to ours but provide only 364 square feet. Again, that’s half of the space we give you. And there’s no kitchen, no dining room, no living room, no bedroom. That’s because it’s just your hotel in Philly. And, for your money, why not get a temporary home in Philly?
