Super recomendable!!

Though our stay wasn't exactly what we expected from the description online, we enjoyed staying here: The room is big and very personal, and the view of the rooftop terrace onto the hills of Tuscany and Florence is wonderful. The 30 minute walk downtown is nice, and bus service at night when our feet were tired was available and fast.

Our stay at Eleonora's family's home was exactly as described. It is a private room with a queen size and twin size bed - perfect for 3 people. Unfortunately the location is a bit outside of the main attractions in Florence so we had to take a taxi to the main area each day. The bus system seemed a little difficult to understand and was unreliable when we attempted to use it. We only met Eleonora's father and he was a great host. Very personable, respectable, and even provided us with breakfast on their balcony on our last day in Florence. He also offered to drive us to the train station. Great people, not the best location, but a nice space for any small group of travelers.

We had the best experience with these hosts. We never met Elenora. I believe the people we stayed with were her parents, but never the less - they were kind, helpful, and attentive. They gave us our privacy when the door was closed (mostly to keep in AC). They invited us to have wine on the gorgeous roof top patio which was 5 steps from our room with 180 degree view of Florence. Both did there best to speak english with us and help us navigate the city. Overall 5/5 for fantastic hospitality. They have a sweet and beautiful dog named Maja. She does have a scary bark at first, but she became our good friend quickly (we are both HUGE dog lovers) and got a little slice of home with her cuddles. When the door was closed Maja knew not to come in but she would scratch one or twice if she wanted in. If we left the door cracked, she definitely found her way in and she has a good nose for food. I think Maja was a good addition to our experience because we love dogs so much and she is very charismatic. The room is just as pictured in the ad. It is spacious and had everything we needed during our stay. Plus GREAT internet connection (a problem we have ran into across Europe). The beds were rearranged from the pictures, but it was a better accommodation for us. There were two double size mattresses. The room had its own air conditioning unit for our use, but they asked us to keep it above 25 degrees C (76 degree F) and to turn it off while we were away, which is absolutely no big deal. Unfortunately, we stayed during an uncharacteristically hot few days, with degrees above 38 degrees C (100 degree F) so we got a little sticky. Not a problem with the room, just bad timing. It was hot everywhere, no matter what you did. The bathroom is shared but nice! My (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps was not helpful for the city transportation, like it usually it. So just know lines 20 & 28 are the only that both leave AND return to the apartment (told to us by the host). We walked to the apartment for the train station (STUPID MOVE on our part). It was a good walk with 30lb backpacks. The 28 bus picks up in the northeast corner of the train station plaza (in front of burger king). We used this as our pickup point for our entire stay. Again transportation is complicated - not everywhere that drops off will take you back. It's a series of trial and error. Oh and we never had our bus tickets checked so we didn't see a need to spend lots on buying more. MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR THE APARTMENT LAST NAME. We didn't ask and couldn't find any information in our correspondence about which name to buzz. We were thankful to find a...

I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Florence. When we arrived, Eleonora was not home, but her father greeted us and was very helpful getting us settled. Elenora called us on his phone, immediately, to be sure we did not need anything else. The room is spacious and welcoming and clean. There is a small window with a view directly to the Duomo and a sunroof hatch that can be opened for a welcome cross-breeze. The room is at the top of a 5-story building, accessible by elevator, which was very convenient. There is an adjacent patio area that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Florence weather, which also has breathtaking views of the city that are hard to beat. In the morning, her parents made us coffee and chatted with us as best they could (we spoke limited Italian), but they were warm, welcoming, friendly and gracious. They also have a dog, Maya, who was a delight.

Two friends and I stayed at Eleonora's place for a couple days. Her parents are two of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. When we arrived they welcomed us with a cheese platter and wine. They were really helpful in making sure we knew our way around. The place is a little less than a mile away from downtown and theres a bus stop right in front of their place that will take you straight to the center. Although it is a room, it is very private. The room is upstairs with a bathroom right outside and has a terrace with a very nice view. The room is very spacious and the beds are very comfortable. It was a great stay, they really went above and beyond with hosting us. Although it was not included, her parents did so much for us. Her dad surprised us with a beautiful and delicious breakfast on the terrace one of the mornings and they also cooked dinner for us on our last night there (delicious pasta, with wine, a cheese platter, and bread.. amazing!). Not to mention they offered and kindly drove us to the train station on the morning of our departure. We cannot express how thankful we are for the wonderful time we spent at their home. Florence would really have not been the same without Eleonara and her lovely parents!

Eleonora and parents are great, if you come to Florence for sure will feel like your home. They've helped me with information and even had the pleasure of joining them in a true italian meal, amazing!. A little bit far from city center but it's easy to get a bus , a bike or even walk for 15 minutes and enjoy the views until there.
