Ron and Sarah were perfectly accommodating, and offered privacy as well as opportunities to chat and feel welcome. I would definitely stay here again!

Ron and Sarah were quite accommodating despite the fact that I wasn't completely sure of what time I was arriving until I got on the road (around 9PM for an 11PM arrival). The room was cleaner than most hotel rooms and had plenty of space for a comfortable stay. There was a pot of coffee and breakfast choices ready when I woke up- it felt more like I was staying with family rather than just being an overnight guest! I no doubt have a new go-to choice for staying overnight in Ohio.

Ron was great and waited up late for me to show up and head coffee in the coffee pot waiting for me in the morning. The bed was firm and I slept well. The house is pretty cool and it's is not too far from town but just far enough that is pretty quiet.

This is a beautiful home and it feels more like a cozy, living showplace than a farmhouse. Ron is a master carpenter and cabinet maker and he hand finished a lot of the cherrywood cabinets. Drop dead gorgeous. Sarah and Ron couldn't have been friendlier despite their busy schedules. Sarah is a vet tech and the daughter of a vet and a vet tech. Ask her anything about chickens. Ron took the time to talk about his work and his life and the history of this house. I recommend these hosts wholeheartedly. Make sure you buy some duck eggs!

Beautiful house in a lovely setting. Very close to Ashland University so it worked out perfectly for our college visit. The evening that I stayed there was cool, so not having A/C wasn't an issue. Very friendly hosts.

Sarah and I were married in June of 2008 and moved to the Ashland area with the hopes of setting up a small farm and B&B. We closed on this gorgeous old Victorian with 3 out buildings and 15 acres the day before our wedding. We have set up the small farm part, now we are working on the B&B part!

We are both outdoor enthusiasts that love nature and animals. We both enjoy gardening, cooking, baking, hiking, biking, training dogs, photography, and sitting on the front porch watching the world go by!

Ron is a carpenter by trade working with a local group of Amish that does everything from metal roofs to patios to pole barns. He also does local remodel jobs as his "full-time" job lets him. He is also always doing odd jobs around the farm!

Sarah is a veterinary technician by trade and is currently working a ER and specialty practice in Columbus as an anesthesia technician. She is the poultry expert! She is also the landscaper around here.

At any one time we have laying chickens, laying ducks, breeding chickens and ducks, and free range broilers. We also have a house dog named Lane, a poultry guard dog named Rusty, and a barn cat named Stinky (there's a story behind that! Please ask us, if your curious!).

We also raise a large garden each summer that supplies us with most of our produce for the year. We pride ourselves in cooking with ingredients that for the most part come off our small farm and/or local farms!

Welcome to our site! We hope to see you soon!
