Honeybee and B is run by Anna and Mathura. From March 1st 2015 my friend Mathura Das will be running Honeybee & B most of the time.
Anna: Homeopath, flower essence practitioner, crystal healer and aromatherapist; I am fascinated by herbs and natural healing and enjoy learning as much as I can about them. I love good coffee and inspirational books. I like to travel and I am particularly fond of the Himalayas. I find yoga is brilliant for releasing tension and stress and I like getting outdoors and being in nature. My friends are really important to me and here in Glastonbury I feel fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful, positive, creative and fun people. My motto is 'Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved, and in the living of it a higher order is revealed'.
Although originally from South West London I have spent much of my life in the East. In fact for over 40 years I have been involved in a kind of love affair with India, exploring the sub continent's rich cultural heritage of art, music and spirituality, including ancient Vedic philosophy and the various Yoga traditions. Like Anna I have a strong affinity for the Himalayan regions having spent much time there.
I am a writer, vegetarian cook & musician, with my own group the Bindoo Babas and am the co-producer of an Indian fusion project called 'Ashirvad'.
I find people's stories endlessly fascinating and enjoy being hospitable and caring for the needs of guests, especially here in Glastonbury which seems to attract an fascinating array of spiritual seekers and practitioners from all over the British Isles and the World in general. I've been visiting Glastonbury on and off since my teens in the early 70's and have now made it my home in the UK.
