CITY CENTRE - 15 mins walk! Room with facilities:- fast wifi, microwave oven, kettle and vanity sink. In accessible & historical Old Dublin. Beside buses, trams, trains (Heuston Station) & No. 1 Tourist attraction- Guinness Brewery!
Hello! Thanks for checking out my listing! The apartment is situated in a very 'cool and vibrant area' as perfectly described by a previous guest. There are two rooms in the apartment, one room is let out to air bnb guests and the other room is mine. We share the bathroom.
This listing is more suited to younger people aged 18-35 years old or young families because a certain degree of agility is required for the bunk beds (but not suitable for families with babies or infants under 2 years old).
The apartment is in one of the oldest apartment blocks ever built in Dublin with original stone walls, beautiful vintage wrought iron staircases which oozes tonnes of character and steeped in history! Echlin Steet buildings was nominated in August 2015 to be listed among one of the top buildings in the magazine 'Heritage and Architectural Buildings in Ireland' so if you stay here you will be able to experience at first hand a bit of old irish history and culture dating back to the 1800s!
If you are looking for luxury then this probably is not the right place for you, but if you are looking for basic, clean, great value for money and fantastic location in Dublin city centre, then this is the place for you! Perfect for friends sharing.
It is a convenient city centre base with all major tourist attractions within walking distance:- 15-20 mins walk to Temple bar, Saint Patricks Cathedral, Kilmanham Gaol, Dublin Castle, Jameson Distillery, Christ Church, Grafton Street and James Gate (home of the famous no. 1 tourist attraction, the Guiness Brewery!) is right on your doorstep! There are plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes, pubs nearby so you will be spoilt for choice! It is well connected with public transport although you will not need it as its quicker to walk everywhere, unless you want to venture further afield to explore the rest of beautiful Ireland.
This wonderful secure room is located in a charming apartment in the HEART of Dublin's Historical/Cultural Quarter, on your doorstep, just minutes walk away! This includes TONS of pubs, restaurants, shopping, music, and galleries!
WiFi is included FREE OF CHARGE.
Towels, bed linen, iron and a hairdryer is provided too!
My goal is to offer inexpensive, clean, secure, and centrally located accommodation that is great value for money. This room is a great option for tourists who wish to be located in a convenient centre of Dublin location, and also want clean accommodation but not at city centre prices!
There is self catering facilities for making light refreshments:- a tea/coffee making station, a sink, and a microwave oven to heat up ready made meals. There is no kitchen to cook meals but most guests prefer to eat out in one of the many eateries and bars serving pub food near by.
The bathroom is shared with only myself.
There are lots of shops, bars, cafes, Lidyl supermarket etc. nearby. The room is very central, only 15 mins walking distance of the city centre, ideally located beside buses, Heuston train station, the Luas tram system connecting to Connelly train Station & Bus Arus Bus station, so getting around to explore the rest of Ireland is easy! The Phoenix Park, Dublin Zoo, Guiness Brewery, Kilmanahm Gaol, Dublin Castle etc. is all just minutes away on foot, so you have all the tourist attractions right on your doorstep.
Although in a city centre location, it is set in a very quiet little street, hidden away and in very peaceful surroundings just opposite James Church.

You will be issued with your own set of keys so you will have the freedom to come and go as you please, there is no curfew or anything. You do not need to schedule check out with me, you can just leave the keys in the room when you go. I will be available anytime by text, email, or msg if you need any assistance during your stay. Enjoy! :)

Check in is from 2 pm. Last check in is 11 pm. Please check with me first if you want to check in after this time.
I may not always be available to meet you due to my hectic schedule...but if not, I will make arrangements for you to access the keys. Please check with me a couple of days before you come to confirm.
You must call or text when you arrive to the apartment building, this is mandatory. I do not have a front desk or reception like a hotel would. You must call this way so that I or my care taker can know that you have arrived and to let you in the building and give you the keys. You must use a pay phone if your mobile phone does not work in Ireland.
There may be other guests or myself staying in the apartment during your stay, you are booking a room, not an entire apartment. The room is not shared, just the apartment.
You will need to share the shower and toilet. There is a lock on the door for your privacy. Please do not "hog" the bathroom. Please be considerate.
There is no living room or kitchen available for your use. However there is tea/coffee making facilities and a microwave oven for your own use.
There is a pull out table and some stools should you wish to use it.
There is no clothes washer or dryer available for your use. I can provide you with an address of a nearby laundromat which is just around the corner.
Their are two types of bunk beds in the room. One is for taller people 6 feet + and the other bed is for average height people under 6 feet. The shorter bed is across the room and the taller bed is along the wall on the right hand side. Please choose the correct bed for your height for maximum comfort.
You will have to walk up stairs to the first floor to get the apartment and to the room, there is no elevator.
There is no "free" or "guest" parking available. You will have to pay for parking on the street.
Sorry, I can't store luggage before you check in or after you check out. You may ask me for contact details of a tourist office near my home who provides this service for a small fee.
I have no curfew but ask that you respect the neighbours in the apartment building, when coming in and out by not slamming doors and not talking loud when you are inside.
Unless otherwise instructed by me, when you check out, please just leave the keys in the room and go whenever you are ready to leave (there is no need to schedule a meeting).
During your stay, if you have an injury or physical problem such as spained ankle, back pain etc. please let me know. I may be able to help as I am a qualified acupuncturist registered with the ACI (Acupuncture Council of Ireland). You can find out more information and get my details on their website. I can also treat mental and emotional imbalances, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues such as IBS, infertility, insomnia etc. Please ask me if you would like to know more or book a treatment in my clinic in the city centre.
Enjoy your stay!
I am very relaxed about house rules, you can come and go as you please...just respect the neighours so no loud noises.
No shoes inside the apartment please. There are guest slippers for your use.
No smoking inside. There is a communal back garden for this.
No visitors or overnight guests allowed. Please do not invite other guests that have not booked and paid to stay in the room.
Please conserve electricity and switch off lights and heater when not in use or when you are out.
