Ambos fueron super amables y comunicativos, gastando bromas e intentando comunicarse con la tablet cuando no podíamos verbalmente. Nos buscaron información y alternativas y nos sentimos como en casa y pasamos muy buenos ratos en su cocina

It's hard to add anything to the heap of glowing reviews that are already there -- this place really is quite as wonderful as they say! Like some of the other reviewers, I discovered this place while looking through Airbnb locations in Northern Ireland, and I am so, so glad that I decided to stay here. The neighborhood is quiet and full of lovely houses, it was very easy to park my car on the street and I was not in the slightest bit worried about leaving it there overnight. (Though David did offer to let me park the car in the driveway, I decided I was better off not risking crashing the car as it was my first time driving on the left-hand side of the road.) The hospitality and kindness with which I was received was second to none; David (Jane was away traveling) went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and you can tell he has a genuine interest in getting to know his guests. After recommending a place with fabulous sunset views for dinner (and wisely suggesting I eat before I arrived, as I was driving in late in the evening and places close early) David greeted me with a glass of wine and some lovely conversation, then introduced me to Whitehead's music scene, which is quite vibrant on a Thursday night. The bed was extremely comfortable, shower was hot, and the breakfast the next morning was fantastic. I'm not a big breakfast eater at all, and I couldn't resist trying their homemade orange and pumpkin marmelade with a cup of coffee made from a blend of beans they had created themselves! Apparently it is possible to arrange dinner with David and Jane (for a fee), and based on these experiences alone, I would highly recommend doing so. (They make practically everything from scratch, and you can tell they have a real passion--and talent--for cooking.) My only regret is that I was staying for such a short time -- if you're looking to stay here, I would highly recommend staying at least two nights, if not more! There's so much to see and do in Whitehead and its surrounding area (especially if you're a Game of Thrones fan), not to mention Belfast itself (their place is a stone's throw from the train station) you'll want plenty of time to explore it all.

I normally stay in Belfast when visiting Northern Ireland from Donegal where I live....Whilst Airbnb "surfing" I discovered Whitehead! Bye bye Belfast..... hello Whitehead! I drove to Dave and Jane's Victorian home, parked out front and with my Westie Gus in tow went into # 30 Cable Road to meet our host and hostess and decide for ourselves..... could they REALLY be as kind and welcoming as every review gushed? I can personally attest.... all reviews are honest! Jane and Dave are warm, kind, entertaining, caring, and interesting...... as is claimed .... I was greeted with freshly baked lemon drizzle cake made in the kitchen's Aga..... Jane made it... whilst Dave had just baked fresh bread and cheesy buns.... I indulged in all whilst sipping lovely chilled white wine.... Five star reception! As I was relaxing in the warm welcoming kitchen my Westie Gus was being shown the garden just outside the kitchen glass doors by the resident doggie Keo....I was very happy and content as was my dog! We were then shown where we would sleep and bathe ..... all nice and cosy, warm, clean and welcoming! Comfort and kindness fills this house! Jane and Dave are attentive and caring without being obtrusive in any way! I really was able to relax and make their home my home for several days.... The location of the house is fantastic! A stones throw to the train to Belfast a half hour down the track! If you are visiting Belfast or the Antrim coast this is a great base. Going in and out of Belfast by train is efficient, low cost and fun..... Whitehead is a gorgeous seaside village with a promenade, stunning Victorian architecture, some lovely cafes and shops ..... I'm truly thrilled to discover Whitehead, meeting Dave and Jane and being lovingly looked after in their welcoming home! Whitehead is my new holiday destination whether visiting Belfast or not...... 30 Cable Avenue my new address!

Even after reading many of the other reviews on Airbnb our stay with David & Jane surpassed all of our expectations! They are two truly caring, kind and generous souls. From the homemade breads and jams for breakfast, to the lovely evening drinks and conversation, we really couldn't have asked for better hosts. And to top it off, Whitehead is one of the most picturesque seaside towns! We highly recommend anyone visit if you are considering - I know we'll be back :) (And while you're there do not miss the chance to visit Browns Bay on Islandmagee! It is easily one of the most tranquil places on earth.)

"David and Jane - impeccably upholding the Irish tradition of hospitality." My stay here with my husband was homey and warm, from the moment we entered the door to when we left. David filled us in on all there was to do initially (over a bottle of beer of course), and even helped us find our next location. The house was easy to find based on his description it was very cozy, and we found many nice roads to walk down (the seaside is a must). All in all, this was an ideal place to start our trip, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you David and Jane!

What a fabulous stay with a warm and welcoming couple in their beautiful seaside Victorian home in the quaint village of whitehead! They made me feel right at home did some laundry for me, cooked a beautiful gourmet dinner (David baked his own bread & used to run restaurants - Jane also really knows her way around the kitchen with home made jams & lovely authentic tiramisu), and they even invited me along to an Irish party with singing where I learned all about irish craic! The rooms are airy, clean and well appointed as are the bathrooms and the vertical style of the house gives you privacy upstairs. They have a grand garden that is a peaceful place to have a bite to eat or throw the ball for their sweet & well behaved dog Kira. A great time, if I return to Ireland I have to return here to touch base with dear friends. Thanks for everything Y'all! ;-*
