Historic Victorian shotgun camelback. Recently renovated. Perfect for family or a couples getaway. Ideally located 1 & 1/2 blocks from the Garden District streetcar stop. Central location, great walk-ability. Spacious, comfortable & charming.

Our home is a Victorian shotgun camelback double built in 1861. Somewhere down the line it was converted into a 4-plex but it still retains many of the architectural flourishes that make New Orleans homes so charming. This apartment is approximately 1000 sq ft and can comfortably sleep up to 6 people. The neighborhood is very walk-able and we're just over a block from the main Garden District streetcar stop.

The apartment is 3 stories. There is a private entrance for you and the members of your party. For outdoor space you have a courtyard and a second floor balcony. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and cooking implements. There is 1 full bath on the second floor and a half bath on the ground floor. There are two bedrooms, one on the second floor and one on the third, and 2 separate sitting rooms. There is a comfortable full size sofa bed in the second floor sitting room and another full size sofa bed in the ground floor sitting room. Linens and towels are provided. There is a washer and dryer on the premises, shared between three rental units.

Just a note for those with mobility issues: The apt is 3 stories high so there are a lot of stairs. There are 5 stairs at the entrance to the apartment. We have 12 ft ceilings so the flight of stairs to get to the 2nd floor, where the full bath is located, is longer than what is normal in most homes. Lastly, there is a flight of stairs to get to the 3rd floor bedroom. Unfortunately our home is not suitable for people with limited mobility.

The apartment is completely private. My husband and I live in another unit in the building and either he or I will meet you at check in to show you around the property. We are also available (when not at work) to answer questions and give recommendations.

To comply with City Regulations, we are only able to offer discounts for stays of 30 days or more. We welcome month to month renters such as traveling nurses and contract workers. Special Events such as Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras, Essence Festival, etc., have different rates and some may require stays longer than 3 nights. Please contact me for pricing/minimum stays during Special Events.

Per City Regulation our maximum occupancy is 4 guests, Infants/Children included.

Wheelchair inaccessible and unsuitable for anyone unable to navigate stairs.

Pets not allowed.

Please keep in mind that this is a residential neighborhood. Please respect our neighbors and keep the noise levels down, especially between the hours of 9pm to 9am.

The patio is yours to enjoy but please refrain from shouting or raucous behavior.

People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight on the property. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. Day guests are limited to 3 people.

Parties and/or drugs are NOT allowed.

If Guests do not abide by the rules, all rental fees will be forfeit and the Guest party will be required to leave the premises immediately.

Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Do not move the furniture.

Only use appliances for their intended uses.

Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Please dispose of accumulated trash in the garbage bins at the front of the property. Please wash dishes and wipe down kitchen surfaces regularly. If you like, we will be happy to arrange for housekeeping services during your stay at the Housekeeper's going rate.

The fireplaces are not operational.

Water and Septic: The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you will be charged damages.

Great location: quick walking distance to food and shopping & the rail line is right down the street. Spacious place and great value for the price. Highly recommended!

Lovely accommodations and a gracious host. Our teenager especially loved the private bedroom on the third floor.

Corinna's Camelback Guesthouse was the perfect place for 4 of us to stay during our time in New Orleans. Corinna is the perfect host, being available for questions, always quick to respond, and being extremely accommodating. The house allowed for much privacy, it was super clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect for the things we wanted to do and see, and it was very pleasant to walk around such a beautiful neighborhood. We highly recommend staying at here! Thank you for everything, Corinna!

Corinna's place was fantastic. She was incredibly welcoming, and communicative leading up to arrival. Her tips during the trip helped my group and her food recommendations were great as well. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice stay in a great New Orleans home!

We had a great time staying at Corinna's! She gave us a comprehensive tour when we arrived and there were notes around the house to remind us of certain key points (like keeping the upstairs bedroom door closed to keep it a cool temperature). The place was spacious, bright and clean.
