Escape to the country on this 400 acre farm surrounded by wildlife and with open fields and fells and explore.. First Floor:

Kitchen area: With electric eco oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Bedroom 1: With twin beds, beams and en-suite with shower over bath, and toilet.. Second Floor:
Bedroom 2: With kingsize bed, beams and en-suite with shower over bath, and toilet.. Biomass central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included, remainder at £5 per basket (honesty box). Welcome pack.. Enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture (shared with other property on-site). 400 acres of natural farmland, dog exercise paddock, woodland, bird hides and nature barn with wood burner, maps and tourist information (shared with other property on-site). 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (working farm). Fishing on-site (licence required). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. This property has been awarded a Green Tourism Gold Award. Please note: No children under 4 years old. The property has a natural water supply from a bore hole. There is a unfenced river in the grounds, 150 yards away. . Part of an original stone barn built in 1871, Hay Mew has been sympathetically converted to a very good standard and is now a comfortable and spacious hayloft, with accommodation over three floors. The cottage is accessed by a rough track and retains many of its original features, set in 400 acres of land and nestling quietly into the hillside below the road to Hawes. With 70 acres of grazing land around the house and the remainder peaty moorland which is perfect for the owners rare breed Dales bred ewes and white shorthorn cattle.
This is a genuine nature haven at the head of the River Wharfe, home to a range of different habitats for birds, fish, mammals and insect life, including red squirrels. Just waiting to be explored are areas of open fell, mature woodland, ancient hay meadows and with Oughtershaw Beck meandering through, this is an idyllic location. Make the most of the on-site nature barn with its maps and information, river and fell observation hides for spotting the local wildlife. Nethergill Farm is surrounded by the spectacular Yorkshire Dales with mile upon mile of walking and cycling routes, and is right on the route of the famous Dales Way with the Pennine Way nearby. This is the perfect location to base yourself if you intend to get out and explore the beauty that this part of the world has to offer. There is easy access to Wharfedale, Wensleydale, Swaledale, Bishopdale, Littondale and many more, with the hidden gems such as Reeth and Hawes an easy drive away. Shop 8 miles, pub and restaurant 6 miles.
