El alojamiento
There are characterful features throughout all the rooms in the property, with beams, unusual circular windows and exposed bath stone walls.

A modern, open plan kitchen, fully equipped with everything you might need, surrounds a charming antique dresser. The cosy living and dining area, just off the kitchen, has double doors opening out onto the pretty walled garden at the back. There is a separate room with a sofa day bed and desk, leading to a downstairs bathroom.

A little staircase winds up to a delightful master en suite bedroom in the eaves of the old barn. This space is full of character, with beams, exposed bath stone walls, circular windows and wonderful views down the valley. The en-suite bathroom has a generous shower and separate bath with a view of the valley skyline as you bathe.

For entertainment, there is large tv (with a choice of Sky or Netflix) wireless broadband.

There is an espresso coffee maker for guests to use.

The property is on a self catering basis however, we do leave a complimentary basket of things to help settle you in, including a homemade loaf of bread, coffee pods etc. Please let me know in advance if you would prefer not to have this.

Acceso para huéspedes
THE PROPERTY: the entire property is for guests private use.

GARDEN: We have two designated areas in our garden for guests to use. These areas will not be used by us and are for the sole use of our guests. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic we kindly ask that guests only use these areas.

Area 1 is the patio outside the entrance to The Cider House which looks over the back garden and has views of the little church. This area has a green bistro table and chairs for guests to use.

Area 2 is an elevated seating area in the front garden with views over the valley. This area has a bench and chairs and is a great spot to sit and watch the sun go down! : )

Otros aspectos destacables
We have always prided ourselves with our high standard of cleaning. We are committed to this standard and continue to carry out a thorough, deep clean between every guest. All cleaning and preparation work is completed whilst wearing a mask and gloves. The property is first cleaned and then sanitised before fresh bedding and towels etc are put out.

Please be aware that the steps, leading up to the entrance, are old and uneven. They are very pretty, but care must be taken when using these.

Inside the property, the staircase leading up to the master bedroom is steep and narrow.

The master bedroom and en suite bathroom are located within the eaves, so the height is reduced as you go towards the sides of the room.

The property is perfect for two adults, sorry, no children, no groups, or pets.

THERE IS A SWIMMING POOL IN THE GARDEN. UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE NOT INSURED FOR GUESTS TO USE THIS POOL. FOR GUEST’S OWN SAFETY WE ASK THAT GUESTS DO NOT GO NEAR THE POOL.

The immediate surrounding area feels very rural, yet still only 2.5 miles from Bath city centre.

The village of Upper Swainswick is very charming, with a beautiful 12th Century church at its heart.

Larkhall (a village within Bath) is 1 mile away and has an award winning butchers, a farm shop, a small supermarket, coffee shops, gift shop, two pubs and a chemist.

Bath offers a wealth of things to do and see. There are historic sites, buildings, parks, monuments, museums, art galleries, theatres, shops, renowned places for afternoon tea and of course the wonderful Thermea Bath Spa.

There are many places to explore on foot from the property. We provide guests with a personalised map of the area. Perhaps take the public footpath across the valley to the beautiful hamlet of Woolley and back. Alternatively take the more challenging walk up to the top of Little Solsbury, an Iron Age hill fort, which was the inspiration for Peter Gabriel’s song ‘Solsbury hill’ to admire the views towards Bath and surrounding countryside.

We moved to Bath two years ago in search of a bit of space for our young family. We still have to pinch ourselves when we wake up and see the view in the morning. We love being Airbnb hosts for many reasons. Firstly, getting to meet new people, whether they are from just down the road or from the other side of the world. We genuinely love sharing where we live and its a real pleasure getting everything ready for each and every new guest.
