This simple home is the place to go to unwind, turn off your phone, and breathe. Very private, yet close to many amenities, it’s steps to the local cross-country ski and bike trail system. A 5m drive to the Craftsbury Outdoor Center and 45m to Stowe, this Airbnb is also close to many places to downhill ski, kayak, etc. Not your style? There’s a range of local artists, breweries, and restaurants nearby, including Hill Farmstead, Barr Hill Gin, and Lost Nation.

El alojamiento
Built many years ago, this home has recently been renovated inside and out. With one wall of windows (it's a passive solar place!), the house is open-concept with a mudroom, kitchen, dining/living area, bedroom, and bathroom. There’s also a large deck outside, blueberry bushes to pick from, and acres to explore.

Acceso para huéspedes
Both the home and surrounding property are open for your use. There is another house at the other end of a long porch, but we are rarely there.

Otros aspectos destacables
We’ve earned a few four-star ratings due to our location being far from Stowe (45m), Waterbury (1hr), and Burlington (1hr20m). This location is special because of its remoteness. Please don’t book here if the driving times above won’t make your experience go as well.

We've also earned a few four-star ratings due to the slow internet and having fans, but no AC. This location is special because of how rustic it is. Please don't book here if you prefer fast internet and AC.

Craftsbury, Vermont, Estados Unidos

Craftsbury is well-known for many reasons. Besides Hill Farmstead and the Outdoor Center, we are close to Pete’s Greens, Jasper Hill, Sterling College, and the Highland Center for the Arts. Although the town population hovers around 1000, we are proud to support a thriving K-12 school. In front of a picturesque common area, the school is surrounded by a post office, library, and church. A two-minute drive from the common takes you down into the village, where there are two general stores, a town hall, and a garage. It is truly a small, idyllic New England town.

Although I've worked in hospitality in the past (Basin Harbor, anyone?), I'm currently teaching high school Spanish & French. I’ve lived in Ecuador and Senegal, living and studying for an extended amount of time in New Zealand, Australia, India, Germany, France, England, Spain, and Iceland. I've always stayed in an Airbnb wherever I go and try hard to host a space that integrates the small, but important details that I've seen along the way.

Durante tu estancia
While we genuinely enjoy meeting everyone who passes through, we also respect your privacy and won't come knocking unannounced. We are sometimes in and out of the bigger house at the other end of the porch, but will let you know ahead of time if we need to stop by.

If you're staying in the spring/summer, you may see a gardener or landscaper on the property.
