This is a light-filled Victorian home with views of the bay. It is in a perfect location between Camden and Rockport, where you can leave your car in the driveway and walk to a number of attractions in the surrounding area. The house is on a quiet side street and the property provides excellent privacy.
Home offers a classic conservatory where you can enjoy the daylight, even on rainy and foggy days. Stone steps lead down to a shady slate patio, furnished with teak table and chairs.

We offer 2 bedrooms for up to 4 guests (double and queen size beds). Per request, a third bedroom is available for additional guests at extra cost.
2 Bathrooms with large showers and one including a claw-foot tub.

Minimum stay is 1 week. There is no fixed arrival day. Please choose based on availability. You may add days to the week at a reduced rate. Special rate for a full month.

Host will welcome you at arrival and will not be present at the house during your stay, but can always be reached via email or phone in case of questions or issues.
The property will be delivered furnished and with utilities provided at no additional cost to Guest.
The premises include appliances such as cook stove, baking oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer unit, dishwasher, washer and dryer.
High-speed wireless Internet is available throughout the premises (incl. Blu-Ray and DVD player with access to HuluPlus and Netflix).
Owners shall use its best efforts to ensure that the premises and all appliances, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems are in working order. Owner shall not be held responsible for such items failure to work, but will make every effort to correct any issues as reported as quickly as possible. The cost of repairs will be assumed by Owners, unless failure is due to negligence of Guest.
It is the Owners' responsibility to provide a cleaned house prior to Guest's arrival. Housekeeping is not provided during Guest's stay.
Guest shall use the premises for residential purposes only and agrees to keep the premises in as good repair and condition as found. Guest and any additional permitted guests shall refrain from loud noise and shall not disturb, annoy, endanger, or inconvenience neighbors, nor shall Guest use the Property for any immoral, offensive or unlawful purposes, nor violate any law, association rules or ordinance, nor commit waste or nuisance on or about the Property.
Guest agrees to be responsible for any property broken or lost, and for any extraordinary cleaning required to return the premises to the condition they were in prior to Guest's occupancy and agrees that such costs may be charged to Guest.
Maximum allowed occupancy is 6. We do not allow smoking and no pets are allowed.

We have owned this house on Chestnut Hill in Camden for almost 20 years, having moved to Maine (from Germany, via Massachusetts). We love the tranquil setting of the house and its proximity to both the town center of Camden, and Rockport Harbor. Coming from Germany, we really appreciate the fact that we don't have to get into the car for everything we like to do.
We have continually upgraded the house with amenities such as a huge bathroom with a large separate shower, and a sunroom that turned out to be our favorite place in every season, regardless of weather. At the same time, we tried to retain the character and charm of this old Victorian.
During the summer months we now live on a nearby island and offer our home during this time to seasonal guests.
