The house is as pictured and the location is quiet. When we arrived the room was very hot and stuffy. I asked to open a window and was told that the Windows do not open. My husband opened the blind and of course opened a window with no problem. Then the difficulty started. To be brief, the owner keeps the thermostat at 76 degrees, a perfectly nice temperature except the room is at the very end of the house and there was absolutely no air coming from the vents. Wouldn't have been a problem as we like fresh air except the host refused to allow us to open a window. The next morning we discussed it and she agreed to let us open one window but only in the evening...not sure why as we were keeping our door closed so it would not affect the temp in the rest of the house. In any case, the next day we kept the window closed and opened it in the evening and then went out for dinner. The outside air was lovely. When we came back we found several nasty notes taped to our door and several angry messages on air B and B for us. She came downstairs and was visibly trembling with anger and asked us to leave! We were shocked . All because we opened one window to get some air....I don't get it. We are air B and B hosts and have had five star reviews all summer and this is just difficult to understand. So , if you are going to stay here, whatever you do, don't open a window. My only explanation is that she is stressed and much more concerned with in her words , the rules of her house, than with the comfort of her guests. Also, not really a problem but be aware that are are lots of renters there, students, etc, so lots of coming and going. It was a very uncomfortable situation for us from the minute we stepped into the room but we tried to work it out with her.
