Just past the supermarket (Adeg) the road curves slightly to the left. Go straight to continue on Sportplatzstrasse.

The distance from the bus station to the apartment is just under 1 kilometer and is about a 10 minute walk.

On arrival at the Strobl bus station, go straight down Bahnstrasse, towards the village.
Go past “Sport Girbl” on the left (a sporting goods store) and straight on at the small intersection.
On the right you will pass the Necker bakery and Adeg supermarket.
The road curves slightly to the left but keep straight, following into Sportplatzstrasse.
After 100 metres, take a right turn on to Strandbad Strasse.
After 10 metres take a left onto a tiny road Rosenweg.
Rosenweg is a ‘dead-end street’. Our place is the last house on the left (yellow colour) and the Alpine Garden Suite sign with entrance is on the back side of the house.

The apartment is on the ground floor, facing the garden.
Some family members, Karin and Manfred, live on the adjacent property and speak some English. Karin will drop in sometime after your arrival to answer any questions.


Internet: The apartment does has Wifi.

Vignette (Road Toll): For guests renting a car, a “Vignette” is required by law in Austria when traveling on the highway. All car rental companies based in Austria include it in the rental price and it will already have been applied to the windscreen.
If you rent a car from any other country, a vignette must be purchased soon after crossing the border, and is sold at gas stations, and should be applied to the front windscreen.

My sister and I just stayed for a couple nights while we were visiting the mountains and lakes in the area. The place was perfect and amenities were nice. Strobl is a quaint little town on a beautiful lake. It took us about 3 minutes to walk to the lake and less than 10 to the town square. It's about 1 km to the train station.

Juliet's place was wonderful. It was nice and cozy and perfect for our winter stay. Juliet's instructions for finding the apartment were spot on and so helpful, we wouldn't have found it on our own. The house is close to the lake which is wonderful and the mountains are stunning. The apartment was also clean and tidy and had everything we needed.

Juliet's apartment was wonderful and cozy. It's tucked away in a residential neighborhood of Strobl. So really away from the crowds. We were here during the shoulder season (end of sept) and so the town of Strobl did not have much going on. But it is a wonderful place to break your journey if you are in the Lake District and want to spend time in Hallstatt or St Wolfgang.

All as advertised. This is a ground floor apartment in a quiet neighborhood just a ten minute stroll from the central square in Strobl and even closer to the public swimming beach. The Wolfgangsee is a beauty with transportation from other shoreline towns by boat, bike, or bus. A car, if we'd had one, would have just sat parked for four days. Strobl is smaller and quieter than St. Wolfgang and St. Gilgan, just to our liking. Wel'll be back.

This is a dream location and a beautiful apartment. Located in an enchanting small town called strobl on the banks of wolfgangsee lake. Quiet serene town and area with very few tourists. Wolfgangsee town is nearby with a few more options for sights/places to eat. The apartment itself is beautiful and very clean and airy. Hosts were very helpful and thoughtful. Two minute walk from the boardwalk and ferry. Would absolutely love to visit again!

In addition to welcoming emails in the week preceding our arrival in Strobl in which Juliet gave us additional information about the keys, etc., a lovely bottle of Austrian wine and a welcome card on the table greeted us when we arrived. Everything in the apartment was in pristine condition and so very comfortable--we felt totally at home from the moment we stepped through the front door and hated having to leave six days later! This apartment is the epitome of Austrian "Gemuetlichkeit." The house is situated in a quiet, homey neighborhood full of flower gardens, and it is well located in terms of walking to the grocery store, post office, and lakeside activities and walking trails. The mountain views from the bedroom and living room were a treat for these two hikers. The super-well-equipped kitchen was a delight, since it allowed us to prepare not just breakfast and lunches for our hiking days, but also an Austrian dinner of our own when we tired of eating out. And the washing machine was a real bonus, being there for us exactly midway through our 3-week trip!

The owners, Fritz and Juliet Lev, now live in Toronto, Canada, although Fritz grew up living in this family home, which originally was a guest house run by his parents. It was Fritz and Juliet's own family vacation apartment until they recently built themselves a retirement place next door.
